Status: offline 		Going Gold has a way of drawing folks in! I had tuned out for quite a while, only checking in once in a while for updates, because the forums seemed to be dominated by bitchy whining. But now that the "endgame" is near, I'm like a moth drawn to the flame.

Status: offline 		That was very naughty of you rogue. So are you former, current, or reserve USMC? I was in from 85-91, MOS 7011 (a/c launch & recovery) and then spent 3 (wonderful) years on MSG duty (Paramaribo, Suriname and Stuttgart, Germany).

I was a 2311 ammunition Technician from 89-95. First with Charlie 1/12 artillery til 93, then Q.A. for the magazine area in 29 palms.

C 1/11 then HQ 2/12 and finally HQ 10th Marines

A Fu*k Off??? Well, that's what I was, anyway. I had a few opportunities to enjoy the wonderful scenery at the "stumps" (29 Palms) too. I was stationed at El Toro from 86-89.

Status: offline 		I did a little of it all in the arty unit.....ammotechs get crosstrained at everything because, when there is no ammo to dish out, ya go where you are needed.

Status: offline 		US Army 62-65 with the 82nd Abn Div as an artillery surveyor (can't remember the MOS), US Army 70-78 with 101st Abn Div in RVN and various other units in the US and Hawaii as a UH-1 crew chief (again can't remember MOS). Now work for the US Navy (2 more months) at NAWCWD, China Lake as an overpaid Aerospace Engineer. I just threw in the last to tell everybody that in August I can play WITP 22 hours a day (I need a couple of hours sleep).

Unfortunately, if my befuddled brain recalls correctly, he also made the USN dry. Now why they named a tin can after him, I'll never fathom...

Also, since a few have asked in the months past - the back procedure I had in mid March seems to have worked wonderfully well. The pain level is down at least 90% most of the time, and there are glorious complete days now when I have no pain at all. That is, until I get through with physical therapy. EGAD, you never know how much muscles can tighten up, especially if you have been inflicted with too many birthdays.
