dwesolick -> RE: Is It me... (5/28/2004 8:04:30 PM)

Going Gold has a way of drawing folks in! I had tuned out for quite a while, only checking in once in a while for updates, because the forums seemed to be dominated by bitchy whining[sm=00000016.gif]. But now that the "endgame" is near, I'm like a moth drawn to the flame.

jhdeerslayer -> RE: Is It me... (5/28/2004 8:07:48 PM)

The forum is a way of coping with the wait. It might get quiet again when the game ships but then the whining will start fresh. [:D]

I am now a Veteran. Yahoo!

That was very naughty of you rogue[:-]. So are you former, current, or reserve USMC? I was in from 85-91, MOS 7011 (a/c launch & recovery) and then spent 3 (wonderful) years on MSG duty (Paramaribo, Suriname and Stuttgart, Germany).

Semper Fi

Guess that lets out us "Zoomies" eh? LOL! Active Air Force for almost 17yrs now. All we need is a few army types to chime in and we'll nearly have all the services represented. [8D]

rogueusmc -> RE: USMC (5/29/2004 12:03:30 AM)

So, are you the staff expert on French Indochina mike?........"there should be a road right here....I know cus I was there.....[8D]

Mike Scholl -> RE: USMC (5/29/2004 12:08:53 AM)

Considering the road net shown on the map, I think the "staff expert" musta been smokin'
some weed during his TOD

Svar -> RE: USMC (5/29/2004 12:33:32 AM)

US Army 62-65 with the 82nd Abn Div as an artillery surveyor (can't remember the MOS), US Army 70-78 with 101st Abn Div in RVN and various other units in the US and Hawaii as a UH-1 crew chief (again can't remember MOS). Now work for the US Navy (2 more months) at NAWCWD, China Lake as an overpaid Aerospace Engineer. I just threw in the last to tell everybody that in August I can play WITP 22 hours a day (I need a couple of hours sleep).

mbatch729 -> RE: USMC (5/29/2004 2:57:18 AM)

FC3(SW) USS Iowa, 88 -90.

RevRick -> RE: USN (5/29/2004 3:35:36 AM)

RM3, USS Charles F Adams (to the left) 69-73. Most of the time chasing bird farms and looking for Red Fleet bubbleheads in the North Atlantic and Med.

This guy must have really liked Monty Python...

But that was before computer war games.

Unfortunately, if my befuddled brain recalls correctly, he also made the USN dry. Now why they named a tin can after him, I'll never fathom...

Also, since a few have asked in the months past - the back procedure I had in mid March seems to have worked wonderfully well. The pain level is down at least 90% most of the time, and there are glorious complete days now when I have no pain at all. That is, until I get through with physical therapy. EGAD, you never know how much muscles can tighten up, especially if you have been inflicted with too many birthdays.

mogami -> RE: That was the man... (5/29/2004 3:53:30 AM)

Hi, Prohibition made the USN dry.

RevRick -> RE: Could well be... (5/29/2004 3:56:15 AM)

might have been a local legend about the Charlie Deuce, but with as many sea stories as we all told, begiggered if I know. I do know that the ship was officially dry, but they never seemed to get that message to the goat locker.
