Hey, if that´s how you get your kicks, great.
You could also edit the units speed to 90 and make them size zero so the AI won´t spot them in the first place. You could probably go through the every battle avaliable with only your A0 unit named ´Rambo´ and get decisive victories in all of them with only 2 minutes of editing and setting of preferences. The computer will let you do it.
The most fun i´ve had in SPWAW, and gaming in general, has been when something has gone totally FUBAR and forced me to make a gamble with insufficinent resources.
Recent example - (Long road) Utah to Rhine campaign by Wild Bill, the scenario in Carentan.
My elite ranger company, the pride of my core forces, made a flanking manouver against Jerry´s rear, hoping to get his HQ and take out some annoying artillery, but gets caught up in a massive german counterattack, loses both of its supporting Shermans and three halftracks. Losses racking up fast, they make a hasty defensive in a small city block. Their only hope of rescue lies with a platoon of mechanised engineers and my own Sherman platoon, all of these at least two turns away. Will they succeed? I don´t know. Would they if I turned off C&C and used the undo move trick to get my units ut of danger with the two remaining halftracks? Yes, of course.
But I won´t, since these moments are the reason I play games.
