Gangut The Gangut class was the largest native class of battleship actually used by the USSR in WWII. They also served in WWI, but underwent extensive upgrades and modification over the years. With four triple 12 inch guns, the Gangut carried light firepower but potentially the highest overall rate of fire of any battleship in terms of heavy shells per minute. A WWI workhorse, the Gangut class was re-used throughout WWII, providing surface bombardment to support the Soviet advance through Germany; although a heavier battleship class, the Sovietski Soyuz, was under construction as WWII opened up, it was never brought into action, leaving the Gangut the largest Soviet battleship on record.

Hi, That was what I was classed as also. When you think about it it's not "oh dear" The ship had a very long service life. It hurt the enemy and was never lost in combat. It has the highest rate of fire of all BB listed. It was a one of a kind. In order to get Yamato you have to say you are a big fat bully with sisters.

Nice. I don't think a 60,000 ton ship has ever been built with better lines than those. Looks like a speedboat on steroids.

My husband took it, and then asked me to take it as well. He wasn't too happy when he learned I was an Iowa Class and he was a Vittorio Veneto. I noted you didn't state the outcome of your challenge...

That's me to a tee of course...

And who's Witpwife we wonder? More like witpwidow I guess. Now gentlemen, best behaviour, and LST better fix his sig pic... Remind me did someone delete the 'how we decoyed our wives/girlfriends from fact we spent a lot of cash on a game?'

I was the Richelieu. Among all the BBs I think that is the _last_ one I would have thought I would be reincarnated as.

I don't know how a little guy like me rated the Yamato, but I did. Perhaps the question about weightlifting should ask how much you bench.

Hmm... Bismark class here, which I have noticed is not that common. Anyway, I'd love to see a quiz telling you what kind of flattop you are... and I'd roll on the floor laughing if I was told I was the Langley :)
