ORIGINAL: rekm41 I never had a problem. Probably a bit gamey but what the heck.... Hi, What is gamey about this. ABDA stands for American-British-Dutch-Austrailan USN CA Houston was sunk along with RAN CL Perth. Dutch Admiral Doorman had ships from all these navies under his command. There is nothing at all gamey about this it was the historic command situation. It's slightly gamey if the players do it all the time, because there are issues of differences in supply, doctrine, and (in some cases) language that limited multi-national fleets historically. OTOH, immediately after PH Churchill suggested sending the Repulse and PoW to reinforce the US Pacific Fleet. I guess I'd sum up by saying that although it was done in real life, because the game doesn't model the hassles and inefficiencies (not to mention potential political squabbles) attendant to the formation of such forces, players should use them sparingly.
