And the player reviews aren't so "great". Ashbery76 keep digging that bigger hole for yourself.

http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/920609.asp?q=hearts%20of%20iron

66% lol, my my my HOI 2 is getting some great player reviews isn't it? lol
Goes to show magazine reviews are too biased and do not tell the "whole truth" about a game. Players don't hesitate to tell what's really in a game and score them appropriately.

"66% lol"

I´d say "32 %" for WitP.

51 % for BiN

44 % for HTTR.

so much for your statistics.

anyways... HOI2 started with 1.3 b4 the game was out. prolly coz some people like you and les have their predetermined opinion w/o ever taking a look at the game.

ohh, yes... it deserves a rating of 1 coz any real wargamer only plays turnbased games

what were the games you liked?

Strategic command? it got a whopping 59% there, lower than HoI2...

Combat mission Africa Corps... 59%....

better check what you "lol" at, it might fire back.

any of your fav games has been rated worse by the players than HoI2. not that I agree with those ratings (HTTR, BiN :) )....

Heh, it's a conspiracy! World media giants Paradox are bribing the game world to get great review scores.Keep digging boy, keep digging.

I have no need to dig, I've given my review. ;) You're opinion, their opinion, makes no difference to me. The fact of how "I" believe Paradox delivers games is all that really matters. .

This taken from your Boomtown review: Hearts of Iron 2 is no different - if you love historical turnbased strategy games HoI 2 will keep you warm as the engine covering of a T-34 tank.

He doesn't even know what he's playing, it's not a turn based game. lol

Talk about a sugar coated review, this guy wet his pants playing this game I bet, very unprofessional review, pure immature praddle, boy! ;)

that sums it up pretty nicely. your quotes are wrong, your statistics faulty, all you do is to spill your hate for paradox.

in fact, you´re simply a troll.

You seem to forget Max, I rarely buy a "retail" release, I've said for quite awhile now many games do not warrant immediate purchase upon release, because they are "repeats", the same ole same ole, Paradox just stands out because they release the most bug ridden and flawed games "out of the box" in the past.

I've never stated WitP, HTTR, CM blada blada blada was a better game, I've stated that gamers on unofficial sites speak out more about the "whole truth" of the games than "fanbois" or at official forum sites. True Critics bring out what should be in reviews, not just the sugar coating. True Critics tell about the company, development and past performance history of these companies and developers.

You guys are the ones that seem to want your games to be numerouno, me, I could care less, all I am concerned with is saving money and saving anyone else from wasting money on an "incomplete" game (and even that portion is minimal, if people want to waste their money it's their business, I am one that like to be sure they are informed about what they are getting overall). All of them are incomplete nowadays. You won't see me giving any credits to WitP, HTTR, Korsun Pocket (I don't even own them as far as that goes), CM (which I do own was bought off ebay).

I bought "one" retail strategy wargame last year. Spartan and the reader/player reviews for it on Gamerankings.com "match" HOI 2 point for point 6.6, but, the difference? Spartan wasn't riddled with a need for a patch, the version I bought "out of the box" was 1.013, the last and only patch version after that was 1.017 and all it did was reduce the AI difficulty because so many whined about how "hard" it was and setup Spartan to be able to use some of the features in Gates of Troy. lol I didn't have to wait a "year and a half" for it to be fun and playable, as per HOI and EU 2, I didn't have to run to the official website on a daily, weekly, monthly basis looking for the next patch either. Already HOI 2 requires a run to the official form for a patch "out of the box patch" and another patch soon to follow.

Understand my points it has nothing to do with HOI 2 persay, it has everything to do with Paradox and the way they release their games and all those patches necessary for a finished product.
