I've been trying to prolong the agony of my troops in the Philippines by hauling supplies in with my semi-useless US fleet subs.

Trouble is, since the 1.40 patch, I've been having trouble loading supplies into them. I didn't seem to have any problems with this before ver. 1.40. Now, I'll sit in port turn after turn trying to get any supplies into them. I am careful to keep "Do not unload" on, and also not to use any OPS points by refueling, etc.

Anyone else notice this? My poor troops are starting to feel a real pinch as supplies get low.

Got enough supply to load? A ship can load a maximum of 10% of whats available.

I've seen this but want to make sure it is a 1.4 issue before piping up. They are simply heading to destination empty, correct?

No problem. Using v1.40
I have just loaded 8 supplies into SS S-41 and it is on its way to Gili Gili.
Only confusing bit is "Total Load: 24 of 24", but then SS has a supply capacity factor of 3. So it does work out ( 3 x 8 = 24).

Many trips required at this rate.
BTW, mission is Sub Transport.

Good to see. My concern was that many times the sub, despite orders to load, simply fails to and is at sea next turn empty.

Sorry i did not reply sooner - the local ISP was messed up.

Yes - I'll typically have 800 - 30,000 supplies at a base. NONE typically is loaded. The last time (in about the last dozen turns) i got any to load was 2 tons (out of about 1000 available).

Well, at one extreme, it is safe to say that your subs will sit there for multiple turns waiting to load, at the other they will load and leave in one turn ...

Tough to know with that kind of swing in supplies exactly whats up. I assume you have lots of units at the base ... what's it's required supplies level at?

Most of the time i'm trying to load from unmanned bases such as Taytay and San Jose. THere are no troops there, but they have just under 1000 supplies (as some got out before the 1.40 upgrade). Occasionally, i will also try to load from Kendari, which has 30000+ supplies, and three partial engineer units, probably about 1000-2000 men total. In neither case do supplies load. The actual supply levels at the bases do not change much - the levels AT DIFFERENT bases are quite different. Last time i was able to load supplies was at Taytay (iirc) which has no troops. Supply levels required at these base range from 0 to maybe 100 tons (i am at work right now so can't give the exact figures).

Generally, i will only try to have 1-2 subs load supplies at any one base in a turn.

Again - i had no problem prior to upgrading from 1.30 to 1.40.

OK - i will run it again to make sure it replicates on my machine tonight. Assuming it does (and it probably will) i will send it with details.

This save ALSO features the "Fast Transport Pickup Bug" - where the fast transport unit trying to pick up an LCU in Palembang, decided to sit in Batavia and load supplies from Batavia instead (i had sent you another save of that a while back).

Already done. Typically i will get sub into port, refuel one turn (ship docking) - then try to load supply NEXT turn (so NO OPS points used by the sub in the turn i try to load supplies). I will go back to make sure that they have STAYED docked, though. I have tried a combination of NOT giving movement orders, or giving movement orders. So far nothing works reliably (or pretty much at all.)

OK - just sent a prerun save of the failure. USS Tarpon docked at Taytay fails to load any supplies when i have run this 2x on different machines.

Also, Fast Transport TF 1180 in Batavia decides it would rather load supplies in port rather than pickup a unit in Palembang as ordered. I have already sent you another save on this problem, but here is another example if you need it.

Let me know if there is anything else
