1. When Infantry is loaded onto a tank and there is not enough room, what happens to the other guys that do not mount up? 2. What is the best force structure for SPWAW? For SP it seemed to be small units (no platoons). I never tried SP2 or SP3. 3. Any suggestions for dealing with the large numbers of units? 4. How can I tell that I have moved a unit its full movement from the Unit List Screen? 5. Thank You Matrix Games. On the retreat to Bastogne still.

Already Pvt Snafu...(better than Pvt Fubar ) 1. They go home (you lose them). 2. It is a squad-platoon level game up to battalion and soon almost to divisional size. But your basic unit of operation is the platoon be it tanks or infantry. 3. Not sure what you mean by this one. My first thought is "demandingly" 4. To see what moves remain for the unit, click on it, look down bottom left, it will be listed. 5. You are very welcome Private. Thank you for the kind words!...WB ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games [This message has been edited by Wild Bill (edited 06-20-2000).]

A Few Answers... #1 The remainder that couldn't load onto the AFV are removed from play for the rest of that battle. #2 There is no "best structure". SPWAW is too large and diverse--from night battles in the jungle to sweeping vistas on the frozen steppe, and everything in between. However, combined arms forces tend to be as effective in the game as they were in real life. Also, force composition depends on your playing style. It's a matter of discovering what works best for you. #3 The way that works best for me is to keep my formations together as much as possible. I have friends who use clipboards and notepads to write little memos to themselves during play to help keep things sorted out. #4 The only way I'm aware of is to know beforehand how much movement the unit started with. SPWAW does not give a movement report (like 3 of 9 movement points remaining). But I've never found a real need for something like that. By using the "movement radius" feature of the game, I get all the movement information I need during play. #5 Yes. :-) Thank you, Matrix Games.
