Hi, I bought STUN1, and while I think it is a great game, the AI just didn't present a challenge, even when given all advantages and all the difficulty options were turned on. I ended having to make silly rules to try to make it hard, like "I have only 1 ship per colony", or "I can make only scouts (and scuttle any ship I get that's bigger)"... eventually I got to "I can only have 1 scout per colony". Needless to say, I'd much rather not have to restrict myself in order to have a challenging game. My question is this: is STUN2 _A LOT_ harder than STUN1 when the AI has all the advantages turned on? I'd like it to be almost impossible to win when I set the AI to it's hardest level.
I realize that the AI will almost certainly have to cheat in order to be this hard, and that's ok - until we have computer AI that's nearly as smart as a real human (something that's many years off I believe), AI will need to cheat in order to compete. For me, this is a make or break issue for STUN2. Thanks,
Slappy

This is true. But you have to give it credit. At least it has lots of gameplay too finish even if the AI is still not very good. I am playing Stun2 shareware version right now and I must admit the AI is basically the same. Glaring lacks in colony defense. Patient and single ship assaults. Only once when I made a colony in enemy contested space did I see two enemy ships on the offensive. But still considering that it was made by only one programmer on an amazingly tight budget. You have to give it credit for what he acommplished.

King: You are probably playing the Stun demo, there is no StunII demo available for download.

Still waiting for a response from someone "official", or failing that, from someone who has the full STUN2 game now that it's been released.

the game was just released today. nobody has it yet because the game is not sold in stores. give people at least 2 days to get their fed-ex/ups shipments.
