How is Max Football going to work with MP Leagues? Or even MP in general?

Is every game going to have to be resolved H2H via TCP/IP?

If you are going to resolve games with gameplans ( Not H2H ) how will the plays be called? Just straight up percentages?

If I have a Max league how are my owners going to see the games? Downloading full video??

Multi-player is gameplan vs gameplan. Playbook vs playbook. That is the only multi-player option. THere is no head to head "coaching the game" play.

THere is a "default playcalling AI" that the game uses, but in multiplay game plannign is based on % selection in a given down and situation.

Since the games are sim'd in league play (unless you have a HUGE amount of time) the owners get stat summaries for their games. I'm hoping that a text capture of the play by play will be added. Don't know about that yet. I'm not sure of the details of how games are simmed.

You may be able to distribute "highlight reel" that gets created after a played out game. Not sure if that is possible.

Good questions to ask David Winter at the upcoming chat session.

There will be two player hotseat play. There is no multiplayer internet head-to-head play at this time.

That is correct. Maximum-Football uses a system similar to the FBPro system for creating plays and game plans.

This was recently changed. The original game sim system had run the complete game without showing the graphics. The stats and scores were identical to a game watched on screen. It wasn't all that fast for large leagues though, so David has changed this to have a short sim of the game.

I am unsure if David has allowed an option of the old system to be used, but the changes were made for a quicker sim.

The game will show instant replays, but the last time David replied to this in public, there were no saved game highlights for later viewing.

Hopefully its too late to be adding processes... but then there is also hope that some things can be changed easily.

For Multi-Player to be succesful with a game that allows free play design, complete reels of all the plays is necessary. If the game/software can already record "highlights" and has all the parts in place to do that.. I hope it's not that big of a change to record the entire game.

Otherwise you are back to the old blind shooting play of Front Page Sports. Which was like trying to coach a team without ever going to a game.

Thinking about that now..that's something that was a problem 10 years ago... that's a loooong time ago

man that sucks there is NO h2h play not even coach mode!!! I assumed it would be like the old fbpro games where you could at least call the plays in h2h.

You can play head to head on the same machine.
