...damn, you would think that after waiting for 4 previous patches like a prom date waiting to get to the car after the dance that i would do better at this round of "filling in time"...WaW is good, but it's no subsitute for a 5 hour grinder session of WiTP...even HalfLife2 didn't fill the void...guess i'm gonna have to go out and grab that Silent Hunter everyone was gushing about recently...

if i sound impatient, it's true...but i'm confindent the extra time will provide a superior quality patch...

HL2 was a REAL disappointment, graphics where great, but a story line was none existing and the game play was just some scripted shooting v. the AI. (although racing the swamp boat was kind of cool)

I finished HL2 just once and never looked at it again.
But I am playing FAR CRY now for the 5th time or so, and the game keeps on amazing me…………..

FAR CRY is just SO MUCH BETTER then HL2………….

Played the demo and it looked cool but it seemed even more hi-tech-fantasy than Brown's books.

I like his books but they are getting a little far out and I am getting tired of McLanahan.

I haven't read one of his books since the one where they were doing drug interdiction with the Ospreys.

Yeah. Ever since the beginning of the very first level, inside Japanese bunker, with that Japanese Officer's corpse I've thought "this has got to be a sweeet game". It gave me more WW2 "feel" even than that crap peashooter MoH:Pacific Assault.

Some of those outdoor levels are HUGE, and I mean REALLY HUGE and you can go literally everywhere.

One of my favorite levels is "insurection", because everybody is shooting at everybody.
Also in a later level, you have to assault 3 islands, which is just blood tears and folly

Yeah, those were not too good. For one thing he was touting the tilt-rotor planes like crazy - they were the greatest things since sliced bread. Meanwhile I am reading in the paper that they are crashing and killing all on board.

His latest one is good though. USA vs Russia - always a good combination.

Well the story was good, but I do not think that an US generall has the autority to singel handedly order an airstrike on a RUSSIAN airbase because they are treatening to attack some afghan valley ?????

Well, no one said it was factual. You gotta give him some leeway else there is no story.
