By time of the beginning of operations for Pacific ocean in spite of the fact that Japanese four years were at war in China, their aviation industry was completely unknown in the West. The opinion of self-appointed experts was expressed that Japanese be able to make only out-of-date copies of the western machines. Actually, shortly before the beginning of war planes of foreign marks were actively got by Japanese, as has provided with him "springboard" for break in development of own machines.
After prompt approach of Japanese in the first half-year of war on Pacific ocean, for allies has come the feeling of the unconditional superiority is time painful reassessments of potential of the opponent was replaced by respect for production ÿïîíñêî
But it is fast enough, when has shown the force mighty industrial potential of the States which have allowed again to reach full numerical and the qualitative superiority over Japanese, again there was a feeling of the full superiority, and fighting qualities of the Japanese planes and opportunities of their aircraft industry again began to be underestimated. Until recently such estimation prevailed. Nonspecialists believed, that Japanese were only in a condition to make bad copies of out-of-date western planes or the planes, capable to light up and blow up from the first hole.
The overall objective of this work to state an objective estimation and to achievements, and problems of the airindustry of Japan during the second world war.

Origin and pre-war development of the Japanese aircraft
In April 1891 one enterprising Japanese Chihachi Ninomija successfully started models with rubber моторчиком. Later it has designed the big model with a drive from a clockwork on pushing screw. The model successfully flied. But the Japanese army has shown to it not enough interest, and Ниномия has left the experiments.
On December, 19 1910 г in Japan have made the first flights planes Farmana and the Hailstones. So in Japan the epoch of flying devices more hardly air began. A year later one of the first Japanese pilots captain Tokigava has designed improved variant Фармана which has been constructed by an aeronautic part in Накано under Tokyo and which became the first plane let out in Japan.
After purchase of several types of foreign planes and release of their improved copies, in 1916 the first plane of original development a flying boat " type Йокосо ", спроекти has been constructed
