There's an Essex class CV in San Fran. Bay (Don't remember which, possibly Hornet) & USS Intrepid in NYC.
USS Midway is at San Diego,CA Not WW2 but commissioned in 1945.
Huge mothball fleets at Bermerton,WA and Oakland,CA.

I was in Valparaiso (SP?) Chille on a merchant ship in the early 80s and they had a beautiful brooklyn class light cruiser there-part of thier navy.

The Argintines lost another former WWII CL in the Falklands war to a British sub with a massive loss of sailors. Belgrano? She was the former USS Phoneix-a pearl harbor survivor.

I remember sailing into Philly in the late 70s and early 80s and they had a number of old BBs and other vintage warships moored there as part of the mothball fleet. Wish I had taken more pictures back then.

BTW, there is a group in Portland that is rebuilding a US WW2 PT boat. It isn't ready yet for display, but I can't wait until it is...
They had it out on display during the Rose Festival in Portland this year.
As far as I know the Olympia (Dewey's flagship) is still at Philiadelphia.
I remember seeing the Goeben/Yavuz in Istanbul years ago, don't know if it's still there or not. I'm prety sure the Mikasa from Tsushima is still Yokosuka.

There is a Fletcher class DD next to USS Constitution NM in Boston.

Here is a comprehensive list of ships in various naval parks in the US.

It's the Cassin Young. There's a little plaque on the starboard side which shows where a Kamikaze hit. Sticks in my memory from my visit there - it was definitely spooky. It was reportedly the last Kamikaze hit during the battle for Okinawa.
