Jensen76 -> Guerilla magic...? (12/28/2005 1:23:48 AM)

I'm embroiled in a war with Turkey for the moment. Playing as Sweden this isn't exactly part of my overall plan, but the Turks just won't agree to a cease-fire so we battle it out in Holstein every ten turns or so - with me as the victor, of course (they keep sending relatively small armies that are easy to dispatch). Anyway, lately something funny has been going on in my home provinces in Sweden and Finland. Turkish guerilla units have appeared out of thin air. It's happening every few turns - a turkish guerilla unit or two shows up in one of my home provinces. Why in the world does this happen? It's not supposed to, is it? Enemy guerilla units only spawn in their own home provinces, right? I am at the moment trying to generate some guerilla units of my own with a diplomat placed in a province Turkey has taken - and the magic guerillas in Sweden started appearing at about the same time I set my diplomat to work... Could the game be messing these things up? As far as I know, by the way, Turkey has at no time had a diplomat in one of my provinces... Already there seems to be something wrong as the Political Goals for my country (the button found on the left on the economy sheet) gives me negative points for letting the "enemy" hold Malmų, Gothenburg and Karlskrona - which is strange as I've held these provinces (my home provinces) since turn one. Also according to my Political Goals I'm supposed to take a handful of provinces in Italy which doesn't make much sense to me either... So, can anyone come up with a rational explanation of this - or should I just accept it as a game-hickup and live with it, perhaps start a new game...?
