Trying 14 day free trial went in and, and I bet I ran for 30 plus minutes to the combat area and never reached it. I got so tired running toward the green arrow. I read the threads here but it looked as if some "squad" members were running forever the same as my self.

Did I miss something here but I don't think ill pay extra for that! Was thinking about the game (cancelling WOW sub) but not now.

SO question is why would they build a game were you run for ever in. I just dont get it. I am use too running in some games WOW, NWN's, BF2. [:D]

Find mission with the green truck icon next to them. They are mobile spawn points and you spawn at the truck which is between 1400 and 450 meters from a target. Running from a Firebase or Town is silly. Get a ride if there is no MSPs to be found. Check different brigades and there is some MSP somewhere. Use the HELP channel ..ALT brings up cursor. Click F5 etc and scroll to HELP,click and hit enter. You just missed the fight by spawning in the boonies.

I havent run for years in the game. At best it takes only 10 secs to get into action. You just need to learn about depots and mobile spawns.

I played this game on release years ago and it was terrible. Since then they have really fixed the issues that plagued the release of the game. I've opened my account about 4 or 5 times over the past fours. I usually keep it open for a few months at a time. They add great new content into the game with some pretty nice patches.

Paratroopers are a blast to use. It is probably the closest thing you will ever find to a real virtual war. They have some great message board forums also.

That thing with running for 30 minutes usually happens because somebody set up a mission from a nearby airfield to air-drop/glide some troops behind the enemy lines. That airfield is usually 50km behind the front, which translates to lots and lots of running. Either that, or resupply from a rear town.

So make sure you start on a mission that has the same origin as the brigade HQ which is listed on the top right when selecting a mission.
