Fortunately, my ground forces are fully fleshed out and in top condition:

That very strongly resembles the guys I recently deployed with.[:(]

I take it you're the guy third from the left?

Nope. Two reasons why that's not me. 1) I never go outside without cover and 2) He's too tall.

Guess again.[:D]

Tankerace -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 10:46:15 PM)

I think the line from Animal House fits in well here:

"If you threaten me with extortion again.... I'll have your legs broken!" - The Mayor to Dean Wormer.

Ah, so your the one second from the left here? With the rolling suitcase? [:D]

Mike Solli -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 10:56:28 PM)

Actually, no. I took the picture. [:D]

That guy was my commo guy. We put him in a little cage and let him out occasionally to eat.

rtrapasso -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 10:58:19 PM)

The two pictures do have disturbing simularities...[:(]

Mike Solli -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:01:17 PM)

You have no idea. [:(]

Mike Solli -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:02:03 PM)

I called them my idiots..... and they responded!

Surely we are looking at a guard unit...... right?

Yes, you are. In all seriousness, they are great soldiers. I went to war with them and would do so again in a heartbeat.

Mike Solli -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:10:49 PM)

And I really did call them my idiots.[:D]

And they really did respond to that.

It's funny what happens when you spend a year with people. You become one big family.

niceguy2005 -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:11:55 PM)

Is that suitcase standard army issue?

Reminds me of the guy I went to AF survival training with, who had never been outside the city limits of Pittsburg. All I can say is it was a LONG few nights[sm=Christo_pull_hair.gif]

Mike Solli -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:13:32 PM)

Uh, no. It never made it on the plane. As far as I know, it's still sitting on the runway.[:D]

Did he have a duck in that suitcase? [:D]

Not intending to knock the guard at all, but they just don't look like the active duty types.

Mike Solli -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:24:05 PM)

Actually, we all were pretty haggard. That picture was taken after 3 months of training with 2 days off. We were anxious to get to where we were going so we could get so sleep.[>:]

Edit: I have no idea what was it the suitcase. Those guys are primarily mechanics. Have you ever seen a mechanic (active component or Guard) that looked different from these guys?

Yes - one tough duck!!

How do you find the time to find such wonderful pictures?

Well, probably i shouldn't be spending so much time on it...[:'(]

EDIT: actually, mostly collect the pics in "down" time. Figuring out which ones to use, and making the posts is the actual time sink...

niceguy2005 -> RE: Test Thread (1/19/2006 11:37:15 PM)

It's easy when u have no life. [:'(]

He has given up the joys of life, like work and responsibility, in order to dedicate all his waking moments the worship of the Thread, through diligent posting every minute.

Speedysteve -> RE: Test Thread (1/20/2006 12:58:38 AM)

Agreed. Praise Brother Robert [8D][&o]

Admiral DadMan -> RE: Test Thread (1/20/2006 5:19:55 AM)

Forgive me Thread, for I have forsaken you to actually do things like eat, sleep, work, and commute...

Mynok -> RE: Test Thread (1/20/2006 6:33:54 AM)

You have succumbed to the cares of this world. Seek freedom in the Thread and leave such worldly trappings behind!
