If it has an American flag, it can't be a regular PT boat. It doesn't seem to have the midmounted AA or fore or rear mounted heavy machine guns usually on the US ships. It could be a subchaser I suppose, I can't find any decent images to compare with though...

sorry for the delay in the answer its Italian Torpedo Boat MAS 528 on Lake Ladoga, USSR sometime between June and November of 1942

So that would be the Finnish Jymy class, they were built by Baglietto though, so I was half right :)
