The first non-rounded ones i like.

Thanks, but I am also testing rounded ones and now I must decide. Rounded or squared? What do you prefer? [&:]

Telumar -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (6/29/2007 1:14:50 PM)

Both are nice, but i think the colour style fits more with the edged ones.

What prevents you from doing both? [:D]

Too many things to do at the same time and... it is summertime! Next month I'll fly to Greek! [;)]

Rounded wants a greater effort on numbers.bmp, I think the best is a compromise...

Veers -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (6/29/2007 7:04:16 PM)

Rounded forever. Can't beat that clean, professional look.

JAMiAM -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (6/29/2007 7:11:47 PM)

Nice work, Vito! I prefer the rounded counters, and in the screenshot for post #61, in particular, the counters have a nice, bulgy, 3-D look to them. They really look like they're stacked up a few mm from the screen. I like it!

Jeff Norton -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (6/29/2007 7:38:43 PM)

JMass,

Can we get an updated fileset, including these counters?

I prefer the rounded ones. Also, please HURRY. Those new icon counters would look so cool while playing.

Shawkhan -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (6/29/2007 10:04:27 PM)

...In my opinion, the rounded(beveled) counters would be magnificent for motorized units(even better with vehicle silhouettes), while the square edges would help differentiate the infantry. My tired old eyes can use all the help they can get in reading unit counters.

Silvanski -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (6/30/2007 10:35:12 AM)

Not razor sharp but I like'em [;)] I however prefer the numbers from EZJAX' mod

Rounded ones, allora!. I need a few (I hope [>:]) days to finish the work.

I want to edit numbers too.

Silvanski -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (7/1/2007 12:52:59 PM)

Very tentative try of an "artistic" armoured unit.
There's not much room available to make it detailed

Great idea Shawkhan, lets hope this can be done at some point.

Some of these color combinations don't work. Example below:

I have changed a little some colors (i.e. yellow was too much bright) but these two color combinations are the same of the original old counters.

Boonierat -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (7/3/2007 5:46:41 PM)

The other day I was thinking about the possibility to make a counter mod using german tactical symbols, has it ever been done in the past? the problem is with the unit size indicators, the german used a system of little flags on top of the symbol.

Zort -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (7/3/2007 5:57:27 PM)

I'd love to see some of these symbols used. You also need to get the arrows right.

I've made some unit icons for both German and Russian tatical units. I can send them off to you if you are interested. There are not 100% complete, but it would give you a head start if you want to make your own sets.

Telumar -> RE: JM's TOAW III mod (7/3/2007 7:29:51 PM)

If we are at it, an off theme question. Does anyone know what this symbol for the 13th Company means? I have no clue, could it be a Flak company or some Nebelwerfers?
(The unit is the 12th FJ Regt/4.Fallschirm Div, early 44)
