Amoretto should always be keep on hand at ones house the ladies are especialy fond of it plus you can make an Amoretto sour no matter how intoxicated you are..... but don't get cheap Amoretto it's just entirely to sweet

Now see..this is what I mean. This guy sounds like he knows what he is talking about. One musn't discard the entire series of Bofor's guns just because the barrels look goofy. One must be flexible in one's armamentarium.

I got the "diSorrano" with the cool bottle.[:)]

I'm generally flexible, but not when it comes to Amaretto. Badness, much badness...[:@]

But you didn't have too. He said "you can". This means you are able to do it. It did not mean you had to do it.[:D][:'(]

Cap Mandrake -> Bathyscaphe returns! (10/13/2007 2:28:27 AM)

*********Marianas Trench, October 3, 1942***************

<An odd looking submarine bobs to the surface and rolls and pitches in a fashion that must be uncomfortable for its occupants. A small hatch opens and a figure in a disheveled USN Admiral's uniform pokes his head throught the small hatch>

Admiral Tabpub: <keys a radio mike> Hey! Where was everyone?

****************************************************

<all through the Allied Command in the Pacific and even among the Japanese command there is a collective shout of joy..."the War! The war can start again! Huzzah"

bobogoboom -> RE: Bathyscaphe returns! (10/13/2007 2:43:58 AM)

[:-]tabtub no putting the war on hold the mindless hordes were waiting impatiently.

Cap Mandrake -> M&M Cockpit Armor (10/13/2007 8:39:11 PM)

A dark cloud has descended over the Allied war-fighting enterprise.

Yossarian is back in an active battle zone.

Cap Mandrake -> RE: M&M Cockpit Armor (10/13/2007 9:02:10 PM)

Stalker girl has started her preparatory barrage of email pictures and has advised me that she bought two bags of stuff at the Pleasure Boutique in Boise [X(][:-].

If she thinks that is enough to induce me to dispense with common sense and fly up to Idaho and attend her big Halloween party then she underestimates me. Do I look that stupid?

I paid $220 for the tickets. I am flying out of Ontario at o-dark 30.

Oh yeah. Yossarian scorched his new paint job.

Sigh. For such a smart man you certainly do some interesting things sometime, Mandrake. [:D]

But seriously, have fun, stay safe and try not to use L-words.....any L-words! [:D]

witpqs -> RE: M&M Cockpit Armor (10/14/2007 8:28:04 AM)

I dunno, maybe this is dumb stereotyping, but the words 'Pleasure Boutique' and 'Boise' just seem odd next to each other. Do let us know.

And heed that advice - no 'L' words. Practice speaking like ScoobyDoo on the flight up there - he can't say 'L' at all.

"Ruh-Ro!"

Cap Mandrake -> Welcome Home (10/14/2007 9:44:09 PM)

*********Aboard USS Idaho, entering Pearl Harbor, Oct. 3, 1942********

<a huge banner with 8 foot-tall <redacted> can be seen on Ford Island. It reads, "Welcome Home USS Idaho">

First Sailor: Dang! What did we do to deserve that?

Second Sailor: No kidding. What about the boys on the Mississippi? You'd think they would put up a sign for them...<redacted> wise what's <redacted> of 'em.

First Sailor: Well. Don't matter. I think I am gonna <redacted> this town.

Note: Edited to remove "L-words"

Cap Mandrake -> The "L" bomb...sort of (10/15/2007 9:27:42 AM)

Aboard the I-125, Capt. Ito is a feared taskmaster who demands perfection. He is rumored to have once been so angry at a failed business dealt that he torpedoed a wooden jetty with one of the emperor's valuable torpedoes. Twenty year veterans of the Imperial Japanese Navy sought refuge from his silhouette in the gangway. As he approached the small thatch hut; however, he seemed a different man. Captain Ito had a tender side.

He rapped quietly on a wooden door frame. The face of a young Polynesian woman appeared. Awkwardly, Ito offered 3 tins of salted sea urchin roe and a necklace made of fig blossoms. The young woman smiled. Ito blushed, then he stammered, "I...ruv you"

Look..if you think using expressions like "blows over" is going to make it easier to make wise choices then you are seriously mistaken[;)]

Yo, Mandrake, ignore those ignorant posters who question the perfection of Boise Womanhood:  they are callow plebians who have never experienced transcendental bliss...

I wish you luck, my friend.  And by all means, remember that going for a "swim" at Lucky Peak Reservoir can also result in getting a "lucky peek" at some gorgeous curves!

Leave Tabpub to whalloping the honored enemy for a few days, doc!  You deserve a break...

It is not the perfection of Boise womanhood I question, sir, it is the safety of partaking in it. [:'(]

The Stegasaurus (or was it he Allosaurus) is alleged to have had an accessory brain at its caudal end, as well. It took an asteroid half the size of the Gulf of Mexico to get rid of him. One must not discount irrational sources of wisdom.1 [:)]

Here is the itinerary. Upon arrival, I am to be picked up in a BMW convertible (even though it is 30 F in Boise [&:]). I will be wearing a fake nose and moustache when I exit the plane. I will then be wisked away to a secret location, where, presumably, the two bags of goodies from the Pleasure Boutique will be put to good use. The next day, after recovery is achieved, I will attend the soiree, the entrance to said event will be controlled by "two big guys". I am not quite clear what will happen after that. I hope the planning for the Viking funeral goes well.

P.S....I think it was the Apatosaurus

witpqs -> RE: Boise... (10/18/2007 11:58:28 PM)

I think you were right the first time, it was stegosaurus.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stegosaurus

quote:

"Second brain"

Soon after describing Stegosaurus, Marsh noted a large canal in the hip region of the spinal cord, which could have accommodated a structure up to 20 times larger than the brain. This has led to the famous idea that dinosaurs like Stegosaurus had a 'second brain' in the tail, which may have been responsible for controlling reflexes in the rear portion of the body. It has also been suggested that this "brain" might have given a Stegosaurus a temporary boost when it was under threat from predators.[5] More recently, it has been argued that this space (also found in sauropods) may have been the location of a glycogen body, a structure in living birds whose function is not definitely known but which is postulated to facilitate the supply of glycogen to the animal's nervous system.[21]
