**********Aboard USS Juneau, November 25, 1942**********

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: <shakes hand of approaching US Army officer> Welcome aboard, General. How are my boys treating you?

Lt. Gen Edward "Eddie" Haskell: Fantastic, sir! And, if I may say, your uniform looks great.

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: Thank you, General. I'm afraid we haven't met.

Lt. Gen Edward "Eddie" Haskell: Lt. General Edward Haskell, sir. My friends call me Eddie.

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: Aha! Admiral Edward Adams, US Navy. My friends call me Eadie.

Lt. Gen Edward "Eddie" Haskell: Did you say Eadie, sir?

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: Yes, why do you ask?

Lt. Gen Edward "Eddie" Haskell: Well sir, it's just that, well...erm...uhh..never mind sir. Sir, may I ask where we are headed?

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: General, haven't you been planning for months? I would have thought you would have every tree and pile of bird guano meorized by this time?

No sir. We were just notified 2 days ago. I am quite proud the men responded so quickly. We had a dozen or so with weekend hangovers but they are all aboard now.

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: Oh my, I am having a little heartburn over this. Exactly what unit do you command, General?

Lt. Gen Edward "Eddie" Haskell: 27th ID, Sir.

Admiral Edward "Eadie" Adams: 27th ID? WHAT THE HELL? SOMEBODY GET ME THE 1ST AMPHIB CORPS LOGISTICS OFFICER. GET HIM HERE RIGHT NOW!

Cap Mandrake -> RE: Betty, Betty Shabazian? (2/6/2008 2:35:11 AM)

Egyptian Girl's Note:

A number of readers have inquired about similar events transpiring to Lt/Cpt. Yossarian in WWIIa. Our resarchers are looking into this possible example of plagiarism. There is quite a sentiment here for ridding the thread of the author of this letter. We were able to find an example of the use of latex-free bubble in gum in the WWIIa narrative, but we believe that much the Allied war effort went over to latex-free bubble gum after the fall of the Dutch East Indies. Yossarian's plan to cancel missions in WWIIa by affixing fake clouds to the Squadron operational map with bubble gum failed because of the cheap, latex-free, gum. As this was plausibly a product in wide use at the time, it is our judgement this does not constitute an example of plagiarism. Please do not inform Cap Mandrake of this line of investigation. The staff would also like to thank the readers for not telling him about the Christmas party. It proved to be a very civilized affair this year though General Marshall was dearly missed.

3 game days after I "leaked" information to stalker girl about an operation to take Noumea, this report comes in. Hmmmmm? I had no idea the espionage business was so fun.

Check for calluses from using a Morse code key, that would be a dead giveaway. BTW, do you have radio direction finding equipment?

If Stalker Girl has calluses it probably wont be from using a Morse code key [;)]

A minimum of 9 full Japanese infantry divisions, 700 tanks and at least 5-6 independant brigades are now actively engaged in Burma and the Burma Road battles. Clearly Japanese forces in China must be thining out.

Is this a jibe against the fighting capabilites of the great Nationalist Chinese Army?
I think it is!! Send me more supplies!! I can fight!! I hear that the Americans have sent another C47 group via Red Route 1 to aid in this! Where are they? Where are the others?

Cap Mandrake -> Friction (2/11/2008 5:26:07 PM)

********10th AF HQ, Dacca, November 30, 1942***********

<Staff Meeting>

Gen. Chennault: Look, you are just going to have to tell the Generalissimo to sit on his little yellow thumbs. There are more than 250,000 Jap combat troops pressing on our defences. Maybe if he had killed more of them they wouldn't be over here. We just lost 14 bombers yesterday alone. What does he want from us? <turns to RAF officer> Look, you chaps have that Kraut with the girl's name, he is supposed to be a transport genius. Can't he do something?

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake, RAF: <stands and adjusts tunic>
Sir, I believe you mean Count Czernin. It seems he met with a most unfortunate end. The surgeon felt it had something to do with massively elevated intracranial pressure.

Gen. Chennault: Hmmmm. Sorry to hear that. Smart guy for a Kraut. Well, why don't you fly some Blenheims in the supply role. God knows they are good for Tac Air. All they do is boost the morale of the Japs. And would somebody get the God damned runway extension done at Ledo? How long have we been working on the damn thing? Just hire some locals. They work for next to nothing. What do they call them? The untouchables...that's it. Hire some of them.
OK, enough of that. What is the next agenda item? <looks at notes> Oh, yes. Where is that God damned weather officer? I want to know when it is going to stop raining?..........
