ORIGINAL: ogg How do I know if my artilary is going to fire defensively in support of other units a few hexes away (it has a range of 3). To I set it to tactical reserve? Does it do this automatically if it has the moves left? How do I know which formations it will support? Will it fire for another soviet army for instance in east front scenarios? Also--how do I get my artillary with a range of 1 to just shell the next hex over and not "attack" it by charging in. Thanks Ogg ..set it to Tactical Reserve, it'l shoot, but keep one hex between it and the units it's set to defend ..fire support relates to its formation support setting, free, army, force, internal, to check try using the attack planner and look for gold/grey/black flags ..if P1 dig-in then set to tac reserve, if P2, stick it in the front line and dig in ..(ps..any relation to the Lancre Oggs ?)
