Following Kido Butai Steps: Dec 8th Kido Butai were at NW of Midway after PH attack running to home waters, needed to run 50 hexes probably at cruise speed, then SORYU-HIRYU-SHOKAKU-ZUIKAKU return to NW of Wake Island and launch a sweep attack first, and then an seriously attack on maritime links near Wake (Dec 26th). KB probably replenishment before head to NE off Hawaii Islands to arrive Jan 1st 1942 when KB was spotted. Eleven days after KB was at West Coast attacking Portland shipyards and Boise resource facilities. It is needed to run more than 40 hexes, then probably all route was at cruise speed, like returning at French Frigate Shoals (40-50 hexes in 8 days). KB at Feb 20th was near French Frigate Shoals heading SE, probably Marshalls Islands. Endure for Shokaku class is 9700 nm, and endure for Soryu class is 7.700 nm. They had replenishment sure. Tallyho, thank you for question !. My AP with 2nd USMC Div are Medium APA USN. All 2nd USMC Div is loaded in PhibRon ONE with 9 APA and 2 DD. The PhibRon TWO with 8 APA and 2 DD is loaded with HQ South Pac, 34th Eng Reg and 183 FA Reg with 1.500 tons of supplies. PhibRon three with 3 AK with 193rd Tank Bn and 2.400 tons of supplies and PhibRon SUPPORT ONE with 5 AK with 15.000 tons of supplies, PhibRon TWO with 4 AK and 11.000 tons of supplies. The Battle Force will bombardment the Maloelap base the D-Day with 6 BB, 1 CL and 8 DD. ASW asset include 2 ASW TF with 2 fleet DD each. Minesweepers will follow with 8 DMS and 6 MSW. Carrier Forces TF will attack the X-2 Day at Kwajalein (5 diferents TF with Sara, Enterprise, Lex, Yorktown and Hornet), and then will join with Amphibious Forces.

Yesterday after a fierce naval crash to avoid naval landings at Jaluit and Maloelap, USNavy have sunk CV Zuikaku, CA Maya, CA Ashigara, CA Nachi, CA Haguro, CA Myoko and CA Tone, 6 Destroyers and severely damage on CV Soryu, CV Shokaku. Maloelap has down in USMC hands !. A big victory in the Marshalls waters sail our strategic advantage and our enemy has decided to surrender. The war in the Pacific is over ! Feb 25th, 1942 (*) Japanese player report that CV Soryu and CV Shokaku have 88 and 90 floating damage, and surely will be sunk the next day.

I don't know who the Japanese opponent was - and I don't mean to be over-critical of anyone, but a look at the forces involved suggests he didn't take the USN seriously enough - and you had him way 'outgunned', as it were. Thank you for comments Big-B! I really thinks that japanese player fall in some wrongs: a) Dispensive efforts in secondary fronts like South China and Phillipine Islands. DEI must pay more attention. b) Too much conservative in the early of the war. c) No blockading the P.I. and DEI waters to deny at allied. d) Raid over United States without strategic size, probably begining without enough intel reports about our naval movements. e) Massive counter strike at Marshalls without enought intel about our offensive efforts. Too much anxious to strike back at soon as possible without enough local air and naval superiority. Thank you everybody interested in this game, I probably will begin new game in several weeks.

You know I was reading your updates and I saw that massive strike on the KB and thought to myself "Wow, What was the Japanese player thinking, I hope he doesn't just give up now."
