Glad you got it to work. You can disable the security checks (part of Vista's "User Account Control", or UAC), but Microsoft recommends against it. If you disable them, an annoying reminder will appear in your system tray -- but you can disable this too! I disabled them briefly, but I changed my mind. Occasionally it actually is helpful to be reminded that I'm about to do something important; sometimes I need to be slowed down. Also, I suppose it's theoretically possible that the UAC checks might alert me that something I didn't want to install/delete/whatever is about to take place. Nonetheless, if you want to disable the checks, you can find lots of guides via Google on how to do so.
