  ULTRA SUPER AWESOME BOWL!!!!

Are we gonna go with a Japanese TV show theme for nbaming the Big Game? I propose "Super Happy Fun Fun Bowl Heavenly Symphony".

Outside of that, let's sell the naming rights to the Big Game and make some coin. How about the "Sani-Flush Toilet Bowl"?

DONMVP -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/19/2006 6:46:21 PM)

you can fly southwest , stay at motel 6 , eat KFC , Ithink my team would spend more traveling east .Could have ,thought about a team in Funk Nebraska , pop over 100 , or was last time i was there 23 yrs ago , listening to farmers at cafe tell great stories . Did`nt think an arena there could support a good team .lol

Primarch -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/20/2006 2:25:37 AM)

Heya, not sure if you got my email, but I am also interested in the league.  I have the game, but only just bought it, so im confused as all get out right now.  Any advice on making a uniform would be appreciated.

I also have a ton of questions, but those can wait till I am accepted, so i dont eat alot of your league's time up before then.

Thanks,

Clay

Hopefully, you also sent the team artwork folder, and not the basic text information...

BTW, Everyone participating or spectating the league should signup on the PIFL's homepage. It will make chatting a lot easier, since we only have to look on one web site...

DONMVP -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/20/2006 6:55:26 AM)

YES SENT IT

jrodsly -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/20/2006 7:21:00 AM)

if no one is gonna make my stuff, then count me out.

Brockleigh -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/20/2006 3:52:31 PM)

jrodsly,

There have been plenty of uniforms created on FBMax, and several created specifically for you for those other leagues you're running on your MaxFB.

Just use one of those.

MSO94 -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/20/2006 4:05:06 PM)

I agree I for one have made 7  or so uniforms for you so i know ya have them .

and May I sugest that ya send Max Football as your christmas list to Mom and Dad.

So you can finally play the game.

bigmac -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/21/2006 12:14:55 AM)

Brockleigh -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/21/2006 5:03:54 AM)

Whichever one suits you best.

Um, you don't have a team yet, do you jrodsly? I'd put in an application quickly, if you don't.

DONMVP -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/21/2006 6:13:16 AM)

Just to let people know i`ve dropped out of league . To many things i was reading on board , i found not to good . So hope you guys have a good league . Maybe a year down line if things our more stable and i can reapply i can do that . But things sounded like they were getting complicated and other things . I posted the seals with draw on the forum . Like i stated several times i`ve never done a league like that , just did`nt sound as good as i had hoped .

MSO94 -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/21/2006 11:35:57 PM)

Can we please stay away from real team names.

Please guys. It may just be me but it would make it more fun to come up with something original instead of a league full of cast off names from the NFL/USFL/WFL and CFL

Just my 2 cents

Magnum357 -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/28/2006 1:07:02 AM)

Your league kinda intrigues me a bit.  I'm curious, are you guys going to use any special rules for plays?  Like for example, are you going to have Defensive restrictions like only 1 Linebacker allowed to blitz?

I don't think I can join the league now, but perhaps in the future.

Brockleigh -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/28/2006 1:18:27 AM)

The blitz rule that you have brought up has not been discussed so far.

bigmac has been very accommodating, allowing discussion among the leagues governors on what rules we should implement, and so far has created quite a bit of excitement as we have an active hand in molding this league. If it has merit, we'll bring it up and discuss it.

For the first season, we'll be using the stock 8-man playbook without modifications. If it has 2 LB's blitzing, so be it.

Tbird -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/28/2006 4:14:28 AM)

I don't think the default playbook has any plays with more than one linebacker blitzing

Magnum357 -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/28/2006 11:01:49 AM)

I also just wanted to add, I haven't messed with the Indoor Option much with the latest patch, but may I suggest using 30 second play clocks with 10 minute quarters?  In my experience with previous patches, it was very easy to get high scores with 15 minute quarters.  The 10 minute quarters would also mimick the continuous time clock rules that many leagues use.

Brockleigh -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/29/2006 4:39:37 AM)

We'll be playing 3 down football, Magnum357, so that should have a hand in limiting the scoring.

Marauders -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (12/29/2006 9:39:29 AM)

Hey guys, I was reading through your board.  It looks like you will have a fun time of it.

You may want to talk about any redefinition of player rating prior to having the computer create them.  Some beta guys like a little more variability in the players in their leagues than is provided by the default numbers.

Small leagues may also do well to limit draft picks in trades, because owners may give up the future of the team for the present and then drop out later.  My league does not allow both a first and second round pick to be traded in one season, and other leagues have similar rules.

If you go with three downs, live kicks, and no fair catches, that sounds cool.

Unlimited motion would require changes to the playbooks though, as the default plays will be set up with one player in motion (can be moving forward) and one blitzing player only, as most indoor leagues use those rules. By going to three downs, there may be a need to allow more aggressive offensive play, so you may have to see how it goes.

WallysWorld -> RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (1/20/2007 8:47:49 PM)

The PIFL kicked off this weekend with some good games. Some were close, some were high scoring and some were low scoring. A nice combination.

A great job is being done by the league commissioner so far. He keeps the website up to date and the team owners post neat little stories about their teams and rosters.

I have an expansion team for next season and from the way it looks in the early going, the PIFL will be a great Maximum Football online league to have a team in.
