wolflars -> hot seat? (12/17/2006 7:11:52 AM)

Thanks to Matrix for distributing this game--had tried to purchase it before from ageod (and steam) but could never seem to get the transaction approved (for some reason my credit card company didnt want me to own it)--but now I finally got this game I have wanted for some time.

Also, I am very pleased and impressed thus far. The game looks great and I have already lost control of most of New England to the Redcoats! I guess I should have read the manual first before plunging in. But that leads me to my question: I often like to learn these games by playing both sides in order to fully grasp what is happening (solitaire via hotseat). Is this possible in BoA?

Once again, my compliments to the designers. So far I think this is one of the best wargames I have played in a long while. If their upcoming American Civil War game is anything like this one (plus what sounds like some nice improvements) I will gladly be first in line. Hopefully Matrix will distribute this one too.

Thanks for the input, it is appreciated!

Yes you can play hotseat against yourself. You have to do that from the start, otherwise the AI will take the 2nd role (this is how standard games plays), although you can always take an AI seat by clicking on the AI button on the load game list. So...

create a game
pick a side
do your turn. Here is the important note: click on 'SAVE' and not end turn. Your orders are then saved.
go back to the main menu
pick the other side
do your turn, and here do END TURN.

Rince & repeat.
