USS Yorktown -> BoA Modding Handbook (12/17/2006 6:55:19 PM)

Modders interested by the BoA engine will find usefull materials here.

This work is in progress, but the team is available to help and answer any further questions.

If somebody is crazy enough to try making a big what if for the American War of Independence, he is most welcome (and all needed materials are already there): Canada is still French in 1775, and the British land even more troops to retake all north america in one bloody sweep [:D]

Where is this modding handbook?

Thanks!

Any hints on the easiest way to modify saved game files would be appreciated. (Related to my other post regarding using BOA with miniatures) I'm looking for a method to resolve some battles "out of game" and then input the results back into the computer's saved game files.

This is beyond modding IMO, the save files are only handled by the engine, and each element is traced with an unique identifier.
