Just my two-cents worth. I find it extremely unlikely that SSI would bother to invest in an SP-IV, given the efforts not only by Matrix with SP:WAW, (not to mention the upcoming update on SP:II!!!) but also with Cameo's SP:WWII, both of which can be considered "SP-IV" in any real sense of the term given all of the collective improvements to the engine and graphics.
After all, with the exception of maybe reformatting the 'view'/graphics more along the lines of Talonsoft's East/West Front series (or the Panzer General series) what else could they do to improve the game that Matrix has'nt already done/considered given all the player imput?
Only thing that comes to mind is 'real time' and I'm personally of the same opinion as has been addressed in this thread regarding it......."yuk".
Real time, though great for Fog-of-War, would only cause us to miss out on alot of the action of which SP is so richly filled with.
