Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/4/2007 10:29:29 PM)

I guess the next beta is not in the cards for this weekend.

pzpat -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/4/2007 10:54:08 PM)

I have bad news for you guys.  Hard Sarge is spending time playing UFO:  Extraterrestrials (and, it appears, doing better than most).

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/4/2007 10:54:54 PM)

Johnnie,
I believe there's a good chance at this weekend, possibly even today.

Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/4/2007 11:35:30 PM)

Wonderful !!

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 12:02:17 AM)

Tonight looks less likely -- I forgot that we have to prepare the documentation for what's new in this patch. The patch itself doesn't appear to need further changes, though.

cesteman -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 12:42:41 AM)

Sweet!!! Patch me pleaaaasee![&o][&o][&o]

Gray_Lensman -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 1:24:03 AM)

I for one, wouldn't mind if the new beta was released without the "what's new" documentation, as long as you release it later over the weekend, after all, it's a beta, not a formal release.

I think most of us public beta players have a pretty good idea about what should have been patched, due to comments made on the Public Beta Feedback website.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 2:03:08 AM)

We're aiming for a release tomorrow. If this version looks good after a week of public beta, it will likely be the official release as well.

ChuckK -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 4:02:26 AM)

Yahoo!  I know what I'll be doing tomorrow night then.   [sm=innocent0001.gif]

Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 5:02:08 AM)

I vote with Gray Lensman. Release it as soon as you can.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 5:13:26 AM)

The documentation is just one reason for the short delay. But we're not releasing it without the documentation.

Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 10:03:47 PM)

Is the new beta still scheduled for release today ??

Thanks.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 10:20:10 PM)

Yes, it should be.

Yes, it should be.

What time zone is the Matrix server in? The reason I ask is I am in the pacific time zone and it's showing 8:20 pm for your posting while it's only 1:30 pm here. Thanks.

PS Just checked the members area and no sign of the patch yet. Not that I'm in a hurry I'll be going out of town tonight :(

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/5/2007 11:52:23 PM)

It was posted at 3:20 EST. Not sure about the Matrix server, though.

Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 12:21:20 AM)

Nothing in the members downloads yet.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 12:31:15 AM)

No need to keep checking there. When the patch is up, Erik Rutins will post an announcement in this forum.

cesteman -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 12:46:05 AM)

Some people will be sitting infront of their computer all day staring at the forum until it's posted.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 12:49:36 AM)

It's good to have such devoted stalkers, er, fans of the game.

Actually, I'll also be hitting "refresh" even more than usual, so that I can then spread the word to other forums.

cesteman -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 12:50:56 AM)

Other forums? I didn't know there was more than oneother than matrix.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 1:00:42 AM)

Well, sure, you have single-A, double-A and triple-A forums, with only the most skilled players and posters participating in the Matrix forum.

cesteman -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 1:04:31 AM)

Thanks for the info.

Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 1:08:22 AM)

Stalker ?? I resemble that remark.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 1:36:11 AM)

To be honest, I'm hitting "refresh" much more often on the homepage of my rotisserie baseball team. Darin Erstad got me a steal this afternoon! (But Robinson Cano is still slumping. And don't get me started on Richie Sexson.)

Johnus -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 1:45:09 AM)

Yes, and Wang just lost his bid for a perfect game with one out in the seventh. This only proves that I stalk the Yankees as well as this forum. Don't worry about Cano. Never got into Rotisserie. I find the real thing frustrating enough. However, you digress.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 4:10:08 AM)

I'm running late, it may be finished tonight but it may take until tomorrow. Sorry everyone, some family priorities came up that pulled me away from production work.

cesteman -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 4:11:42 AM)

Thx for the info.

Gil R. -> RE: Release of Next Beta (5/6/2007 4:59:35 AM)

Just to elaborate on Erik's comments, creating the installer is rather time-intensive, so if it were to be done tonight, it wouldn't be done until midnight at the earliest. So, the 15+ of you hovering out there might want to go and watch a movie or something, because there's no chance of positive news for two hours at the minimum. Or, go to bed now so that you can wake up early and play...

Your early morning Sunday is Australia's night time and the night and weekend is ticking bye quickly...the question is, do I feel well enough to go to work tomorrow [8|]. I should do the right thing and play it safe, therefore in order to not risk passing my germs (real or fake) I will do the admirable thing and take the day off (just in case)[;)]
