At Burma Front, XIV Army began a artillery attack over enemy positions (407 japanese casualties with 11 guns and 1 vehicle. Here 31st and 33rd Jap Div with 14th Tank Regiment = 806 Assault). At Rangoon enemy units: 55 Infantry division, 51 Hvy AA Bn, 4 Engineers Reg, 18 Aviation Regiment. Rain persist.

Feinder -> RE: Naval Battle at Indian Ocean (7/17/2007 9:01:17 PM)

Howdies,

The graphics and summaries work great!  Previously I was just skimming to looking for CV battles, narrative comments, and the screen-shots.  The frequent summaries and graphics are great!

That's too bad about RN BBs.  I was impressed that you were even able to bring them to battle (slow doesn't usually work well for me : My cruisers do most of the work, and hense take the brunt of the bashing).  But I'm disappointed that they didn't get some better licks in on those IJN BCs.  I'd have gladly traded them 1:1.

Well played anyway, even if you came out on the short end.

-F-

Fletcher -> RE: Naval Battle at Indian Ocean (7/17/2007 9:13:26 PM)

Thank you for your comments Feinder, but the changes in my AAR are from you [;)]. I like so much your revolutionary idea to sent to hell all txt AAR. When I tried to revise my own AAR I get bored in face an complete txt AAR. The spreadsheets are an original idea from Roger Nielson II. I liked so much and I get his permission to use.

About the current situation at Indian Ocean, I know the main ships of IJN are refitting after the massive struggle at New Hebrides (May 1942 -258 KB aircrafts destroyed with IJN Shokaku damaged and IJN Hiryu severely damaged, several fast BB damaged too in this battle). I knew he withdraw baby KB from Indian Ocean by submarine pickett, probably he needs to ressupply, and I think he thought after he spotted in New Hebrides many capital ships from RN that Indian Ocean could be unprotected when actually I have a naval surface action group at reserve at Colombo (HMS Prince of Wales, HMS Repulse, several cruisers and Destroyers, with BB Warpiste at Aden for refit).

PS: Excuse me for my poor english, but it is not my native laguage.

I thiink I'm going to steal your spread sheet for China.  I have this nasty feeling that Bilbow actually knows what he's doing in China, and that if I don't pull my thumb out of my arse, he's going to be in Chunking in month or so.

I hate managing China.

Fletcher -> RE: Naval Battle at Indian Ocean (7/20/2007 3:32:26 PM)

wauhhh.. thanks ! if you like take it.. I think this spreadsheet is interesting to see evolution a China front. China is my prefered land front to originate problems to IJA.
I usually begin upgrading forts with no offensive movements, but when enemy is exhausted from months of continued bombing and assault missions, it is the momment to begin offensive operations. This is my own situation at China in this play.
Thanks !. Cheers
