Royal Navy Z Force under VADM Willis have surprised enemy transports off Vizagapatam. Today was a good day for the Allied cause. 15 enemy ships was sunk:

1 DD (Nowaki), 5 AP, 5 AK, 4 PG.

Tomorrow XIV British Army will launch a main offensive to capture Moulmein and Rangoon.

June 25th, Rangoon has fallen in british hands !
Enemy in this area is isolated. At Moulmein, 3 armoured brigades hold on bridge head awaiting for reinforcements (3 CW brigades and 1 IA Division with arty elements -3 reg-).
Rangoon port is completely destroyed (100) and airfield is unpracticable actually (67). Engineers unit are marching from Mandalay to repair facilities and build up forts.

At Vizagapatam, enemy have landing a tank regiment (radio signals). 21st Mixed Brigade have been repulsed by 18th UK Division in the south, and from Ringpur 45th Indian Brigade with elements of 26th IA Division will advance to take contact with enemy near Vizagapatam.
No enemy naval activity in the Indian Ocean. RN Z-Force have been resupplied at Trinconmalee and it is ready for combat actions.

5th Air Force launched yesterday a massive air attack over enemy air facilities at Lae. This airfield was closed several weeks away, but enemy have try to begin air ops from there.

Vizagapatam airfield closed after heavy air attacks launched from Calcutta - Madras airfields with RAF-USAAF bombers.
The enemy have launched a main offensive at India, with 3 IJA Divisions identified in the north front (Vizagapatam-Cuttack) -5th, 16th and 48th-, supported by 1 tank regiment (1st), 1 mortar bn (14th) and one mntn gun regiment (3rd). In the south only 21st Mixed brigade mauled after combats with 18 UK Division is identified. Front west, 75th Indian Brigade is marching to Vizagapatam.
The enemy had 1346 IJA casualties in the Indian front today.
In the South Pac, the IJN have suffer unexperience fliers outcome. The G4/ Yokosuka Daitai have launched an attack with bombs at 5.000 feet against a USN DM operating in the Guadalcanal area (180 nm West of Lunga Point),without hits (21 aircrafts launched their bombs !).
In the picture, RAF Beauforts get hit over enemy transports off Vizagapatam. RN BATTLERON (Under VADM Willis, Flag PoW) will await for DD´s running fast from Colombo to join. RN Carrier will refuel tomorrow at Perth to heading inmediatly to Indian Ocean.

After 3 days of combats at Indian Ocean:

Imperial Japanese Navy lost CL Sendai and CL Kitakami, with another 5 DD sank by RAF-RAAF aircrafts in the Indian Ocean. Enemy have lost near 3.000 men in the Vizagapatam campaign. The airfield in this base was closed by USAAF - RAF 4-e bombers launching attacks from Calcutta (10th Air Force HQ). 34 japanes aircraft were destroyed at ground at Vizagapatam. Two days after KB appears in the Indian Ocean sinking several british freighters that steaming to Madras from Ceylan. KB launched an attack against shipping at Ceylan sinking 6 small ships (3 MSW-2 PC-1 PG) losing 26 unvaluable aircrafts (10 Zero-10 Val-6 Kate) for only 2 Hurricanes shotdowns.

In the South Pacific area, the 5th Air Force under GEN Kenney have launche a heavy bombing attack over Guadalcanal air facilities. Near 150 4-e bombers launched tonns of bombs over airfield, destroying 84 enemy aircrafts at ground.

Dutch submarine K.XIV hit a mine Type 93 at Tulagi, and probably will not get safely a port (85 floating damage).

Enemy lost 500 IJA men at Thursday Island after heavy air attacks from PMoresby.

Air Attack over Triconmalee. Enemy launched a massive air attack over shipping at this area with KB elements. 38 Hurricane (32 Hurricane Ib and 6 new Hurricane IID/IV)shotdown 6 kates, 10 val and 10 Zero with only 2 Hurricanes lost.
The enemy get hits on 10 small ships with 6 of them sinking at the end of the day (3 msw-2 pc-1 pg)

Today, June 31 1942, is a bad day for Empire.
Z Force under VADM Willis have surprise another time japanese transports at Vizagapatam, sinking 8 AK and 5 escorts (PG). At land, the IJA have severe casualties (1.200 at Vizagatapam and 1.000 at Rangoon area). In the air, the enemy carriers have launched an attack against british freighters at Trincomalee sinking 4. IJN lost 10 Kates, 6 Val and 7 Zeros by CAP (RAF lost 3 Hurricanes).
RAF - USAAF bombers launched 72 air sorties against ships getting 26 hits over enemy targets.

At south, USMC launched an amphibious ops against Guadalcanal, with para landings at Tassafaronga by 1st USMC Para Bn and naval bombardment by USS California at Lunga Point. Enemy airfield is closed and no naval oposition is sighted in the area. Tomorrow I will launch a massive air attack against enemy positions at ground before landings.

At SOPAC area, Baker Island have been bombed by USAAF aircrafts (52 2-e bombers with P-38 escorting).
Aussies launched an air attack over enemy air facilities at Amboina Island. (45 Hudsons)
Madang was attacked by 5th Air Force with another 64 2e bombers with P-38 escorts.

In the picture, Z-Force surprise another time enemy transports (1st action) at Vizagapatam. After this crash, RN ships surprise a monster convoy with more than 40 ships (sinking 8) escorted with only 5 PGs.

A: USMC Amphibious Ops against South Salomon chain. IX US CORPS with 1st and 2nd USMC Division, backed by 1st/2nd Para Bn, 1st/2nd Raiders, 4 USArmy arty regiments and several supporting units (tanks, tank-destroyers, engineers, logistic) have launched a massive amphibious operation against Guadalcanal and Tulagi. At Reserve the US Americal Division, 37th USArmy Divison and Black Force with 6th and 7th Aussie Divisions.

B: USArmy Diversionary Ops against Baker Island. 111 RCT will launch amphibious ops against this forward enemy base.

C:RN Eastern Fleet with HMS Furious, HMS Indomitable and HMS Hermes with cruisers and destroyes steaming to Ceylan to support naval ops at this area. At this moment only Z-Force sucessfully operating with HMS Prince of Wales, HMS Repulse and several cruisers and DDs.

D:Aussie landings at Thursday Island to retake this strategical point at Torres Strait. 1st Motor Brigade will be backed by anonther units when ready.

E: 21st, 23rd and 26th IA Divisions, with 18th UK Division and several IA Brigades (and 1 Chindits -77th-) hold on positions around Vizagapatam against 5th, 16th and 48th IJA Divs.

F: Rangoon falls in british XIV Army hands !. Armoured units have launched a offensive against Moulmein and 55th IJA Division is isolated at Rangoon area. AT soon long range bombers will be transfered here to shippings raids.

G:Kido Butai, probably after a running fast to releve Baby KB at this area.Spotted 1st and 5th CarDiv air complements. Several warships sanks the last days (2 CL´s and 5 DDs).

In the picture Salomons Sit Map Report.

Tomorrow 1st and 2nd USMC Divisions under IX Corps HQ will landing at Lunga Point with heavy support (4 arty regiments, 1 tank unit, engineers). Backed by USS California naval gun fire and USS Wasp / USS Yorktown air complements, USMC units must capture Lunga airfield as soon as possible before enemy reaction. KB is at Indian Ocean (so far) and several BBs must be refiting after damaged in these area. From Luganville, 120 4-e bombers launched several attacks against enemy troops and port facilities. A DMS Flotilla is sweeping the area to destroy enemy mines. At Tassafaronga, 1st USMC Para Bn have taken the beach, and several supporting units have been transfered from New Caledonia by air and sea transports. Tomorrow, 2nd USMC Para Bn will be paradropped at Tulagi.
Today 16 Bettys with 19 Zeros have launched an attack vs USN ships unsuccesfully with no hits and 1 Betty shot down by CL Nashville.

At Indian Ocean, enemy lost another 3 AK and near 1.200 IJA casualties at Vizagapatam front.

July 4th, 1942, Independence Day

Guadalcanal Landings with 1st and 2nd USMC Divisions backed with 2 tanks bn and Hvy arty support. Near 750 Assault Points
Enemy spotted units at Lunga Point : Yokosuka 8th SNLF, 3rd Light AA Bn, 13rd and 14th Base Forces, 14th NLF, 14th Gun Coast Regiment, 12 Construction Bn. About 100-200 assault points.
Off Vella Lavella ML Saigon Maru have been hit by several 1000lb bombs launched by SBD Carrier-based.
9 Zero escorting 9 Bettys have launched and succesfull atack vs USS Yorktown hitting with 1 250lb bomb (Lightly damage with 13 system)

At INDIAN Pacific, enemy have withdraw KB (probably steaming fast to SoPac area, about 9-12 days needed). IJN lost another 5 freighters in the area. 55th IJA Division evacuated by transports from Rangoon area.
At Vizagapatam area, allied forces will launch offensive actions tomorrow with heavy air support.

USMC 1st and 2nd Division with massive arty support have launched a first bombardment attack. Tomorrow USMC troops will launch a shock attack with a massive arty barrier. Main Objetive: capture Henderson Field. Enemy suffers more than 200 casualties in this first contact.
Several USMC squadrons are awaiting at Luganville for transfers (Wildcats, SBD, Vindicators)when Henderson would be ready for air ops.

Today, July 7th 1942, USAAF heavy bombers have launched a massive attack against enemy port facilities at Rabaul. 94 B-24D, 9 LB-30 and 28 newzealand Hudson I escorted by 16 P-38F have departure from Port Moresby to bomb Rabaul defended by 42 Zero & 32 Oscars. In the skies over Rabaul, 7 P-38F and 1 Hudson were shot down by the enemy with 2 Zero and 2 Oscar destroyed. The port attack was succesful with 7 enemy ships hit by allied bombs (RO-33 sank, and 1 AS, 1 SS, 1 PC, 1 PG and 2 AP were damaged). ML Saigon Maru sank off Rabaul after hit by several aerial bombs from Yorktown´s SBD Dauntless days ago.

After an undecided naval battle off Vizagapatam, IJN Carrier Unyo was torpedoed by FAA aircrafts. British lost about 50 aircraft vs nearby 100 aircrafts lost by IJN Baby KB. Enemy carriers Zuiho, Shoho, Ryujo, and Unyo were spotted at Indian Ocean. Enemy are trying to hurry the Indian expeditionary Force evacuation.
In the picture CVE Unyo ate a torpedo from british Fleet Air Arm aircrafts. In the same battle HMS Indomitable and HMS Hermes, both ates one torpedo from enemy Kates. British Carrier Force withdrew to Madras habour security under a thunderstorm.
Several days after CVE Unyo was sank when trying to withdraw to Malayan coast by LBA from Rangoon.

In the Picture, Carrier Battle Force with USS Enterprise (Halsey flag), USS Wasp (Spruance flag) and USS Long Island steaming north to rendezvous with USS Yorktown to launch counter strikes at Coral Sea and support Buin assault (6th and 7th Aussie Divisions -awaiting ships at Luganville-). With them the Lee´s battleships with USS ARIZONA, USS CALIFORNIA, USS PENNSYLVANIA, USS IDAHO and USS NORTH DAKOTA).
At Lunga Point (Guadalcanal) the USMC Expeditionary Force with 1st and 2nd USMC Divisions, 1st and 2nd USMC Para Bn, 1st and 2nd USMC Raiders Bn and 1st USMC Air Wing (54 Dauntless, 18 Devastator and 48 Wildcats from USMC). From the USArmy 15 F5A recon aircrafts, 48 B-26A Marauders and 24 A-29 Hudson long range light bombers.

Port Moresby with Kenney´s 5th Air Force, at Port Moresby with 44 Kittyhawks, 35 P38F, 11 Beaufighters, 12 LB-30, 47 Hudson I, 16 Marauders, 35 B25 Mitchell, 96 B-24D Liberators, 38 B-17E and 10 A-20A Boston ready for action.
Several air attacks have close the enemy airfields at Madang, Lae, Thursday island and Buin.

Probably tomorrow will begin a new naval air battle at Salomon Islands. KB spotted several days ago at Rabaul have been steaming to southeast to reach positions off Buin. Air complements from CV Kaga and CV Akagi have been identified. Probably a third carrier could be CV Zuikaku.
At South of Lunga Point, Carrier Battle Force with USS Enterprise (Halsey flag), USS Yorktown, USS Wasp and USS Long Island have been replenishment by fleet AOs at Rennell Island and will await to the LBA attack over enemy fleet from Henderson Field (Guadalcanal), where USMC and USArmy gather 200 combat aircrafts (Wilcats-SBD-Vindicator from USMC and B-26 / A-29 from USArmy).
In the China Front, the encircled Yobi Eki regiments have been crushed lossing 5.500 men.
At Indian Front, the british have capture the Vizagapatam enemy base. 40.000 enemy troops isolated at India. HMS Formidable with HMS Hermes ready to begin blockade, with HMS Valiant and HMS Warspite like a bombardment support for land units.

Burma SitMap Report

Rahaeng have fall in my hands !... In the left flank burmese troops backbone by chinese expeditionary Army (SouthEast Asia Command) marching to Pisanuloke and the Right wing with Indian Army and British Regular Army forces advance to Tavoy and Bangkok !. All is ready for an inminent air offensive with X Air Force from Rangoon (150 bombers ready with 170 escorting fighters at Rangoon-Moulmein airfields).
At India, the IJA is near to collapse. August 25th the enemy lost 19.000 men at Vizagapatam. Royal Navy is supporting blockade operations with BattleDiv 1 (HMS Warspite-HMS Valiant) and CarDiv 2 (HMS Formidable - HMS Hermes)

In the picture sit map report at Salomons islands, August 25th 1942.

At Port Moresby, Kenney´s 5th Air Force awaiting reforcements (48 B-24 awaited from USA) to launch a massive struggle against Rabaul fortress. Nearby 70 long range fighters will be ready like escorts.

In the South, Munda have been taken by USMC Raiders and I raised an little air base (lvl 2) to launch air attacks over enemy shipping trying to get Buin port. At Lunga IX US Corps with 1st and 2nd USMC Divisions and several support units (TD, Tanks, Engineers, AA units).

At Henderson Field near 270 AC ready for action, awaiting the air campaign against to Rabaul to launch his own campaign to capture Buin with Black Force (5th and 6th Aussie Divisions boarding at ships at Noumea).

USS Wasp and USS Enterprise will withdraw to Luganville to upgrade his torpedo bombers to Avengers.

I will wait to gather USS Yorktown (Sydney harbour) and USS Hornet (Pearl) to begin naval ops in the area. I lost USS Long Island in the Nauru raid.



All is ready for a new campaign in the Salomons !
