I am having problems when I start a tactical battle. The game launches the tactical battle but immediately goes to the main menu. I try to alt tab to the tactical battle map and either the map is all black or it immediately goes to the main menu again. Before I even alt tab the game acts like its alt tabbing on its own back to the main menu.

Any ideas on how to get this working?

Hi,

This is a bug in 1.80. We will have a patch out soon that fixes it. If you are using other than 1.80, let us know.

I used patch 1.75. I also reinstalled DirectX and have the latest video drivers. I chose to fight a tactical battle. I had to alt tab just to get to the tactical battle map. When I got there the main tactical map is all black, so I tried the below and let it run for an hour. The map never changed.

This is all on Windows Vista 32bit version.

You could try to save the game after you have entered the battle and then reload it. It may work this way - worth a try.

I tried that with no luck. Vista gives me the error below after I exit the game.

I guess the game needs that D3DRM.dll which Vista doesn't have.

It is not our game but a similar problem.

Thanks for the link and info, but it didn't help much. The map is still black, but the good news is the game no longer gives me an error. I can just exit it without any issues.
