Plainian -> Demo - Tac Map not displaying? (7/22/2007 5:31:13 PM)

Mmmh well with the strong £ and the discount I was tempted to buy this. I down loaded the demo and I can't get it to play on either of my PC's? With my low spec PC (850MHZ 376MB ram 64MB video) the map is black but you can see the units With the hi spec PC(1.6GHZ 640MB ram 128MB video on board) bought last year, the map is just a wash of colours but again the units are visible.

I downloaded what I thought was more up to date drivers (licensed) for my low spec PC. The sticky above tells you how to run dxdiag but not what to do with it after you've done that.

I'll post it here and see what happens.......

If I were you I would read the other support threads before buying this game.

Yep I've read some of them to see if my problem was there. A few unhappy posters there. I guess Matrix is having problems getting answers or things fixed by Hussar......

Pretty sure someone isare going to say its a driver issue....... if anyone responds.

No point in posting the other dxdiag for my second PC here. I'll try the email addy support@matrixgames.com.

Thanks for the Diag. This may be a graphics card incompatibility with our engine or a driver problem. Try a new graphics driver and install a new DirectX. Let us know if it runs or not.

DirectX?
I'm running DirectX 9.0c? According to minimum specs thats all I need to have? What do you recommend?

Drivers?
This is the latest Driver that I could find? Is there a later one?

I realise that a lot of things are out with your control but if you can give me a few pointers then I'm willing to try to fix things at this end.
