Well, if you had returned with a simple repetition of your appology and a request to get into the flow of the forum again, people would probably have accepted it and moved on. Hmm... it's not just his "talking points" that are superfluous and irksome... his spelling is simply out of this world.
There's like an error every five words or so.

I think frakkin is a Battlestar Galactica (new series on SciFi Channel, not 1978 vintage) reference.  It is their standard curse word on the show.  A TV-friendly stand-in for a certain four-letter word starting with F
