And in the ww2 scenarios you'll find ardennes2 and endsieg2 who are already configured correctly to nick69s graphics set.

Wow, that looks impressive. Think iīll use it.
What i donīt like so much are the new fortifications and also the cities.
Canīt see enough difference between and here i prefer the sharp location pics from the original.
But the terrain looks great. Congrats on this work !!

I have to agree with you on this one seille.
Nick has done some fantastic work on this mod, but I would like to see a different set of cities made for this mod before he closes the book on this one. I used the mod then went back to the original graphics for this reason. I really liked it too.
Hope your not offended Nick. this mod does rock.

darrellb9 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (11/26/2007 11:57:03 PM)

Anyone else having trouble downloading this mod?

I've tried to download it from the advancedtactics.org site several times using several different download methods and I always get an 'invalid zip file' error when I try to open it. It is also only a 4 mb file and according to posts here should be 8.

When I try to download from the site in Nick's post it always stops and then when I try to restart I get the 'file not found on server error' as that site (I think) generates a random file name on the server each download so you can't link back to it.

I'd really like to use it so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Darrell

Not that I'm aware of. I don't have any problems downloading any other files, including scenarios from advancedtactics.org.

Vorsteher -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 12:51:27 PM)

i have trouble,too. The zip file was corrupt when i downloaded this.

Vic -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 1:08:10 PM)

this is very odd.. how can some people get a corrupt zip file and others not?

seille -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 2:12:06 PM)

Maybe the anti virus software or a firewall setting ?

Vorsteher -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 2:48:05 PM)

How big is the file ?

I downloaded it now form here --> http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/825400e647_8.08MB
But the download in the AT site is only 4 MB ?

V.

PDiFolco -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 3:09:36 PM)

I just retried the site dl, it's ok, 8 Mb+ file, not corrupt.
If a dled file is only 4Mb, I think the dl has been cutoff/disconnected before finishing for whatever reasons, retry.

Vorsteher -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 3:31:50 PM)

mmh,but why ? I tried it 2 x ! But what i see, the server is slow ,very slow.

V.

Redmarkus5 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 4:23:59 PM)

I had to dl 3 or 4 times. I ended up with 4mb files the first 3 times and a working 8mb file the last time... The mod works great but I replaced the new city graphics with the original ones inside Rick's 'real' folder structure. I looks very nice with the original cities! (No offence Rick)

rickier65 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 7:45:00 PM)

red,

I don't take offence, but Nick might (mainly because it's Nicks mod) *s*.

Rick

AZKGungHo -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 11:14:27 PM)

Okay - forgive a Newbie problem here.

I downloaded it, unzipped it to the bin folder, and nothing happens! How do I get these graphics to show up in the game? Since I'm new I'm playing small, comptuer generated scenarios while I try and figure things out here. So does this mod not work with those, or am I doing something wrong?

NickGen -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/1/2007 11:22:09 PM)

You must specify that you want to use the new masterfile in the parameters of the random scenario

AZKGungHo -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/2/2007 3:14:42 AM)

Thanks - got it! Not sure if I like it, so it's nice you can change back and forth so easily!

PeterLorre86 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/3/2007 12:53:07 AM)

Well, i have dnlded it 9 times from AT.org, getting sizes from 2.9-4.5 mb, cant seem to get a non-corrupt dnld. The other site tells me its busy evertime i try. [:(]

Exactly my problem only I've tried more than 9 times [8|]

Vic -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/3/2007 9:49:15 AM)

db99, PeterLorre,

what browser are you using?
do you have firewall software or something funny on?

Vorsteher -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/3/2007 6:27:19 PM)

itīs a firewall problem.Disable my firewall and it goes.

PeterLorre86 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/3/2007 8:33:18 PM)

I have tried with both firefox and internet explorer.

I dont have a firewall, the only thing i can think of is mabey the anti-virus software that i must use to be allowed on the school network i am connected to(just tried with this disabled, no dice). Anyway,i have not had any problems downloading other files in the past.

After more tries i managed to get one all the way to 7.8mb. Very strange.

Perhaps someone would be so nice as to email me the files?

darrellb9 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/5/2007 7:47:52 AM)

I use Firefox but I tried with IE as well. I've also tried with and without a download manager but no difference.
I'm not running a firewall or virus software.

Vic -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/5/2007 12:31:20 PM)

As a test could you see if the direct links works better?

http://www.advancedtactics.org/upload3/RealMod2.zip

PeterLorre86 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/5/2007 8:22:05 PM)

Direct link works! Thanks!

One thing i noticed, the direct link gives me an ETA for the downloads completion which i did not get with the other link.

darrellb9 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/6/2007 1:06:04 AM)

Yes! Thanks Vic.

Incidentally, I also got the file size during download this time around as PeterLorre86 mentioned in his post.

Redmarkus5 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/6/2007 10:55:19 PM)

I'm having wierd problems with this.  When I'm in the editor I see the full set of graphics mod changes; looks great but I replaced the cities and forifications with the original images.  That works in the editor as well.

I replaced the generic file with the renamed 'Real' master file.  I also selected 'generic' as the file for the scenario to use.

When I exit the editor and run the scenario it seems to be using a mix of images.  For example, forests, mountains and coastlines are in the 'Real' format, but plains (most of the map) are in the old default format.  I've even done a reinstall of AT today and the same thing happens after I add the Real graphics folder.  I'm 100% positive I didn't paste the wrong images anywhere.

Any suggestions?

Fred98 -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/6/2007 11:33:37 PM)

These map graphics look very nice!

On another issue, has anyone modded the counters?

@ peterlorre, db99

thanks,
vic

Juergen -> RE: New graphic mod, version 2 (12/7/2007 5:07:11 AM)

It's a little closer. I see the file size as 8.4 mb now but it still only downloads about 3.5 mb before it quits.
