Bought the game yesterday, and generally enjoying it( aside from lack of campaign mode, some pathfinding gliches)

I have a number of battle end due to the moral of the both sides dropping too low, this is a very unsatisfing way for the battle to end. The game I just finished this happened just as I was moving 3 un-commited infantry squad for an ambush. I just feel its a very premature way to end the game.

You can turn FM off in the scenario editor.

I thought you could turn this off in the scen selection screen looking at a screen shot I saw on the shop page.

I'd like to buy this one but I'm worried about replayability without a campaign. The modern setting looks sexy, shame.

Surprised the designers didn't just place this title say in Germany 85 or Mideast 73/82 etc., and make one "complete" themed game at a time? The Normandy, Market Garden, Russia, Bulge, Normandy approach of the original series seemed to have worked well.

It's the first editor screen, not the scenario selection screen. Making the change only takes a few seconds, though.. just flip through the other screens and save.

Principal replayability will be in the multi-play, which is really what this one is all about IMHO... although you'll have had your monies worth playing through the stock scenarios in SP; the game isn't expensive.

I suspect one, if not the, principal reason a campaign was not included was precisely to avoid such a 'themed' game (although there might also be contractual issues with the 'Marines' stuff?). It's meant to be more of a sand-box in which to play about with those 'modern tactics' (which neither of the settings you suggest would provide, incidently, although I suppose that depends how you define 'modern') without being restricted to a single setting. Ultimately what you are paying a princely $30 for is a team-enabled, modern setting, real-time, 'realism', multiplayer tactical combat game. If there is another such game out there, I am not aware of it.
