WTH Scott. let's go all the way HFRO coupled with Red Storm Rising, all in one game.  Like a version of modern SC.

TSR- The Hunt for Red October

A movie based HFRO game came out for many platforms... and sucked on every one.

For the people, Hannibal, Triumph of Chaos, paths of glory....

Yes the video game hunt for red october came out on the Genisis and Super Nintendo.......but they were not wargames,...nor on the PC. And yes they both sucked. Thankfully they have NOTHING to do with the boardgame. The board game covers modern naval warfare in the atlantic between NATO and USSR in the late 80's to early 90's.

I would have mentioned Red Storm Rising, but there are already games that deal with modern land war. There are no good modern naval wargames.

However its a good point, that the two games were designed to be played together in one large game. I still have them both sitting in my closet.

What boardgame is your most wanted for PC conversion. Also,
what changes would you like to see in order to adapt it to PC?

Indeed! A computer version would help with all that bookkeeping...

I would love to see the following turned into a PC, TURN based game:
Steve Jackson Games - OGRE \ GEV

I agree! OGRE / GEV would be a great computer game. The whole concept of a bunch of little things vs. one BIG thing is so great. On the computer:
1) might be more fun as a WEGO system - good for PBEM.
2) some spiffy 3d terrain and vehicles
3) big explosions
4) random level generator & scenario editor so people could load their own maps
5) Could add fog of war rules.

Several years ago, at Origins I talked to one of Steve Jackson guys about computer games, and mentioned that i thought OGRE would make a great game. IIRC, the guy seemed to imply that because of their history with the raid and lawsuit, that they just didn't want to deal with computer games at all.

There is a computer version of Ogre - not an official release and SJG made the programmer rip down all links to it, but it can be found.

Any of the 2nd, 7th fleet series. They were great fun with the variable release options.
