Go Cape City!!

BigSmooth -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/12/2008 6:03:05 PM)

I'm a Cape City fan as well.

jdhalfrack -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/12/2008 6:05:29 PM)

Now that's a way for the Invaders to start out! Not a stellar running game though. Us 'Vader fans knew going into this season that the running game would be weak, though. I guess as long as we hold opponents to 180 total yards, we'll do all right! Of course, Easton isn't really the pride of the MFL, but either way... GO 'VADERS!

WHOOT!

jdhalfrack -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/15/2008 9:22:59 PM)

DAMNIT! Where was Seaside's defense? It's hard to win games when you're letting the other team move the ball that easily... argh....

BigSmooth -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/15/2008 9:31:25 PM)

Cape City's defense didn't seem to be at the game too.[:D]

SmilinJack -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/16/2008 12:00:53 AM)

Maybe Bay City can earn a point this week versus Riverside! I'd like to say they have a good shot but...

Hey guys,

I got a chance to watch that game and the ending was spectacular. Seaside was down 21-7 at the half and 28-14 to start the 4th quarter. I thought Seaside had it wrapped up when they scored a TD pass to the back of the endzone with under a minute left to take the lead. But, then the Corsairs came back and threw a 40 yard strike over the middle with only 3 seconds left. Somehow the receiver was able to get behind the DB's for the score. It was a great comback for the Invaders, but just did not hold. One of the best games I've seen with MAX.

By the way, I saved the game stats if you want to check them out...

Ack!  Who messed up the Dragons?

I think they need a roster check.

Frido1207 -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/18/2008 11:12:49 PM)

Yep, first victory for the Comets. Their offense finally found the way into their opponents endzone. And again a great "steel curtain" defense.
Your Metro League is a superb source of inspiration.

Not bad. They've only allowed one TD and one FG in their first three games, so far. They have the #1 defense in the MFL right now.

Hey, the Invaders are looking a little better than we hoped, huh?  I hope they keep this up!

Surprising indeed. They play the champs next. It'll be quite a test and a major upset if the Invaders can pull off the win.

garysorrell -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (2/19/2008 3:25:16 AM)

Excellent, another one for the W column.

Who's in the spotlight this week?

bopboppob -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (3/1/2008 7:33:15 PM)

Don't Worry i've been following just not posting these three seasons have been great The comets look like there going to need a lot of time before considering playoffs, but i think with some good picks in next year's draft the invaders could be in a spot.

[:D] Teams keep jumping around as far as the best and worst team, it's hard to pick a fave. Mine is still Metropolis

Yep. It's like the two start-ups are polar opposites. The Comets have a formidable defense, but not a lick of offense. The Invaders can score, but they give up just about as many points on defense.

Metropolis has been a good pick. The Monarchs have made the playoffs the last two seasons. I must agree that it is amusing how quickly first can go to worst and worst can go to first. Could have to do, somewhat, with the way quick sim works. Also, with the round-robin schedule teams only get one shot at each other during the season. A few off Sundays can spell a fast and sometime fatal drop in the standings. Quite entertaining.

Thanks for the feedback.

DreamTeams -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (3/4/2008 8:39:56 AM)

Week Seven results have been posted.

Wow! Some big upsets this week.

jdhalfrack -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (3/4/2008 3:06:55 PM)

Darnit.... Seaside always gets SO close... then blows it.

Their defense is pretty good though! Second in the East Conference in PA/G.

bopboppob -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (3/5/2008 5:02:02 AM)

[X(]Holy Cow! The worst team in the east upsets (and im mean upsets by a fg) the market city tritons i can't believe it, man some game game that would've been to watch.[:D]

Marauders -> RE: Metro Football League - Season 3 (3/5/2008 7:44:21 AM)

Any given Sunday!

Too bad the Dragons are not playing well.  The GM should be fired!
