There are tons more but either GFU or I are in them. I wish I could post the pic of the Captains quarters aboard the Olympia. Lets just say the the luxury suite on the Titanic comes to mind. [X(]

When I worked in the Bremmerton Naval Museum, they had most of Dewey's furniture (The Olympia went into refit there just after the war , and the yard pretty much looted everything).

No, in fact there was no access to the weather deck or anything above the berthing deck. I'm not sure why. Guess its in bad shape. [:(]

Another interesting thing (mostly to our doctor friends whom we were visiting) was the Olympias sick bay and operating room. The gentleman of the couple is a surgeon and found the pre turn of the century instruments and books fascinating.

All and all, she would have been a rather sizable ship, I take it. EDIT: Apparently the Rose, renamed Surprise by its new owners, is tied up in San Diego now. Next time I go out to the left coast I have to make time to see it.
