Er, and Erik announced that AE is a stand-alone game, which DOES NOT require stock any more. He did it when he announced the new price.

Now if only they'd announce the release. [8|][;)]

Erik did - 27 hours ago (unless my math is wrong). It's stickied over in the AE sub-forum). [&o]
Now time for me to leave this weird but wonderful THREAD. [X(]

AW1Steve -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 9:46:06 PM)

Has anyone been in touch with Dixie? I've not seen him on the Thread,forum or facebook for quite some time. [:(]

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 9:49:19 PM)

He's on vacation as far as I know.

Thank you.. That's a relief! I hope that he's enjoying himself. [:)]

Then why don't you start one?[:D]

AW1Steve -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:01:25 PM)

BTW, has anyone heard of any intention to sell a plotting map for AE like they did for WITP? [&:]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:01:30 PM)

Because you could find me in facebook, then! [X(]

Why not? Even the elusive Terminus is in there, and NO ONE is more protective of his secret identity. [:D]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:05:31 PM)

You know his identiy? Or do you just know his toe? [:D]

Why both of course! [:D]

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:17:15 PM)

Gotta say, after an initial burst of interest, Facebook has begun to bore me. I reconnected with an old buddy of mine I haven't talked to in 15 years, but other than that...

HMS Resolution -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:18:34 PM)

I don't have facebook, myself. If anyone from my childhood can remember me, I don't want them knowing I'm still alive.

In most cases, it has its reasons why you haven't talked to guys for years...

On the other hand, I was able to talk to Andrew Klavan, Pat Condell and Nigel Farage. This wouldn't be possible without facebook...

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:21:10 PM)

I'm actually tempted to close my Facebook profile. We'll see after the weekend.

AW1Steve -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:22:13 PM)

I've found it usefull. I've hooked up with Navy buddies that I hadn't seen in 15 years. And had a chance to seen photo's and learn about some overseas friends that I've never met. (WITP PBEM players). And I've got lots of blackmail material on my nieces and nephews who figure that since their parents are computer illiterate, they can post photo's and tell stories of their party exploits! [:D] ("how much would you pay?") [:D]

That's too bad, I've enjoyed your comments. [:(]

That's why you have an "ignore selection". Anyone from high school gets an automatic ignore. [:D]

That seems to be a good choice!

The English idiom is "there are reasons".... [;)]

I don't find much of a connection between my online persona and Facebook. The latter is mostly an easy way to keep in touch with far away friends and family.

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/24/2009 10:49:14 PM)

thx

I'm always a little bit afraid that someone is digging out a thing I've once written in the internet in 20 years. Consequently, I try to cut as much connections to my real identity as possible.

Weird circumstances we're in this weekend, eh? We know what's coming, and there seems little point in doing much except waiting for it...

Fortunately, we are finally getting around to celebrating our anniversary tonight, so I'm off to a nice dinner now. I'll mow and massacre some weeds tomorrow and then do some cooking.

Now Sunday is going to be a looooooong day.
