1. Do ports actually collect trade resources, or do they only function as recieving points for blockade runners?

2. What exactly is a blockading fleet stopping at a port; is it only in place to catch the runners?

3. What is minimum number of ships required in a force to blockade a port?

4. Is the 30 ship figure quoted in the Anaconda plan vp requirements a total number of ships in all fleets, or the number of ships needed in each fleet for the blockade to count?

They don't impact on national resource production. Ports that are lost or blockaded will reduce the amount of resources/research obtained from the foreign powers. Each blue water vessel has a chance to kill a runner passing through their sea province not just those in a blockading fleet. The 30 strength mininum is required for each blockading fleet to be effective.

Thanks for the information; I wasn't able to get a clear idea from the game manual, only broad hints as to what blockades were doing to the southern economy.
