Thanks...

DampSquib -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 7:46:24 PM)

Java...again
Is it down or just me???

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 8:31:46 PM)

It was probably down.

i just got up and checked ..reset.

The servers are still going down many times a day.

DampSquib -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 8:54:49 PM)

Thanks Andrew.
[sm=party-smiley-012.gif] Time.

Trying again.

It lives [X(]...but no one there. Played AI lost..[:D]

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 10:08:15 PM)

I have question. People can seemingly join games I host...but then when I launch CoI I'm not seeing them join up. Am I missing a step or anything like that?

The manual does a very poor job of explaining everything related to MMCC3.

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 10:29:54 PM)

If you joinn BHQ in about half an hour from now i can "Test" with you on MMCC3

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 11:35:04 PM)

Question:

What Operating system are you guys running?

DampSquib -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/3/2010 11:37:29 PM)

Me Win XP

MMCC3....1.04S

Mea Culpa... [:(] Sorry. I'd be happy to try and correct the deficiencies if you can assist and suggest what is needed.

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/4/2010 12:01:53 AM)

Andrew - XP here and I'm on BHQ now. I can hang out there for another 30-40 minutes.

VonB -

Wasn't trying to be insulting...it's just that the manual does a good job of giving one the basic setup, however it needs more step-by-step procedures. For example, for a single player server, how one sets that up, how one then runs the MP client to connect to the server in order to start playing.

Or the step-by-step setting up a multiplayer game. The window where I kept hitting ok is clear once you've had it explained to you, otherwise novice users will almost always just hit ok.

The procedure for how to get a game going once players meet up on MMCC3, etc.

Things like that would greatly help the novice user. Otherwise it's more trial and error than anything.

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/4/2010 12:18:01 AM)

I keep getting to the point when I'm launching the game and hosting an MP match, but my opponent never joins. What am I doing wrong?

Whenever I try to join a game I almost always get the java error and I have all ports forwarded. Not sure what to do.

Absolutely no insult taken. And if the manual is inadequate, then it should be improved. Maybe I can team up with you this weekend sometime and go over the issues? If I go through some connectivity with you doing MP sessions with MMCCIII, I can take notes and make an update, or something like that. It's a long time since I did any H2H games using MMCCIII...

I appreciate you pointing it out.

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/4/2010 1:07:45 AM)

OK

In MMCCIII when you click on the menu Help - About

What is your version number?

Not a problem. I'll be on Hamachi today and I'm free the rest of today. I'm in GMT -5 (east coast USA) but I'll keep checking here so we can organize a time/method of chat.

Andrew - 1.04S is what it says.

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/4/2010 6:17:56 PM)

Also wanted to note....

No response from the Help Desk yet about my last MMCC3 complaint with the servers...

Difficult to nail a day and time right now. Best window of opportunity for me is probably over this weekend sometime. I don't do Hamachi, but suggest Battle HQ. What time woud you be free from on Saturday?

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/4/2010 11:21:14 PM)

I have to work until around 11am on Saturday and after that am 100% free.

vonB -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/5/2010 11:03:37 AM)

That should make it around 4pm my time. Early evening looks best for me, say 8pm (3pm for you). If I have to change that, I'll pop a message here. You can also drop me a line at vonb@closecombat.ie

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/6/2010 12:52:36 PM)

I'll be online and available for huge chunks of time today. I'll be home about 12pm GMT -5. I'll probably jump on MMCC3 around 2pm GMT -5, maybe sooner depending on how much I get done.

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (5/12/2010 1:14:35 PM)

Got another update from Heath.

They are taking the matter seriously, but they don't have a timetable for when a fix may be ready. It sounded sincere but who knows. Hopefully it is.

RD Oddball -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 12:43:14 AM)

Guys the servers have been fixed so please give them a try. Please post back here if you experience any other problems. There is a known issue with port 2109 that we're trying to resolve but the servers should automatically restart if the server resets now.

To remind everyone the IP for multiplayer games is 64.111.28.17 and port numbers 2108, 2109 & 2110.

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 12:49:35 AM)

Thanks great news!

EDIT: Just checked Bloody Omaha. Can connect but map still looks like it did earlier. Impossible to actually play.

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 12:52:15 AM)

They are not working correctly...

At the very least the wrong servers are on the wrong ports.

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 2:01:20 AM)

Ok

Looks like

2109 - operation Mars is working

2110 - Stock CoI is working

2108 needs some tinkering

RD Oddball -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 2:12:50 AM)

Okay. And I see 2108 is where Bloody Omaha needs to go, correct? What the website says anyway. I'll pass the info along and see what we can do. Continue to be patient please.

*EDIT*
Also the map pack for Bloody Omaha says "available soon" but there's an active link above it with an associated download. If we're to get the server running I'd assume the map map is required correct? Or is this preliminary somehow... hence the "available soon"? It's confusing.

*EDIT 2* It's finally dawning on me that not having the BO map pack is why we're getting the "you don't have the right map errors.". Quickly getting up to speed on my own.

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 2:31:02 AM)

I've contacted Alex regarding port 2108

The map error message can be ignored

RD Oddball -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 2:56:29 AM)

So I'm guessing this equals screwed up because the supply depots and attackable areas are out in the ocean. Andrew weren't you maintaining that aspect of this? Let me know what needs to be done and if it's something we can do we'll do it.

BTW where does that map pack go. Dump the contents into the map folder or just move the "BloodyOmahammcc3mappack" folder into the CC3 root directory? Sorry been a while since I've had time to tinker with CC3.

Copy that. I'm also getting the correct welcome message when I launch MMCC3 now. Things are moving the right direction at least. [:D]

Dundradal -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 3:01:22 AM)

Hey sorry back into things...Damp and I were playing our GC in WAR. [:)]

I'm on BattleHQ if you guys want to chat live. I'll be on for a while.

I'll open up my MMCC3 now...

Andrew Williams -> RE: New address for MMCC3 servers (7/2/2010 4:11:06 AM)

maps unzip to \maps folder
