jjdenver -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/9/2009 5:03:27 AM)

Can someone post the following about this game if you have time?

date:
overall situation in each sector,
maybe a high lvl screenshot

I'm curious about balance in this scenario.

Thanks

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/9/2009 6:54:19 PM)

Hi, I can answer only that it's October 5th 1941. Current screenies and sitreps would compromise our enemy's plans [:D] but I think an AAR from June could begin soon as we're, I think, far distant enough from the beginning.

As for balance, in spite of the tweeks we've done to increase the power of the Germans, I think this is a thoroughly Russian weighted scenario. If we lose it, it really is our (my) own fault.

File to Fritz

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/10/2009 11:04:47 AM)

I have made three screens of the attack of group Hoth in the area Vilna-Grodno-Byalistock from 22nd of June 41. So if someone whats to have them to illustrate the AAR, just tell me (jpegs, 140kB each). Have not done more screens later on in the game. But have still all files saved that we exchanged during the turns. Does anyone want to write AAR from German view and needs screens then tell me.

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/10/2009 12:24:27 PM)

There's a vague plan that Barthhart and me were going to do the AAR, for Axis and Russia respectively, so ask him if he wants them. Sounds good.

Jay Doubleyou -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/11/2009 4:07:57 PM)

File received.

OKH busy with domestic operations, but can already report clear weather across the entire front!

AGN carried out.
Leningrad cut off from mainland Russia.
Remaining Russian defenseline at Demyansk destroyed including the heavy equipment defending it.

Orders out for AGC and AGS:
Panzers will be on the move everywhere!

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/13/2009 11:11:11 AM)

AGC turn done and send.

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/13/2009 6:02:15 PM)

Orders recieved and executed.

Report forwarded to OKH.

Jay Doubleyou -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/13/2009 8:20:26 PM)

Turn to Stavka.

In week the Axis made very good progress thanks to the clear weather.
- Leningrad cut off from mainland Russia
- Defenseline at Demyansk no longer exists
- Luftwaffe takes revenge on VVS
- river at Mozhaisk crossed and many artillery taken out. German panzers are now very close to Moscow
- 9th army crossed river at Kaluga and is close to Tula
- Orel and the east river bank conquered
- 3rd Rumanian army and 11th army breaching fortifications northwest of Rostov
- 4th Rumanian army now stands before the Sevastopol fortified defenseline

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/15/2009 9:03:46 PM)

File received, file and report out.

The bloodletting continues, the Russians enjoying the sunny skies no less than did the Germans.

NW Front
Finn's line broken, remainder hemmed in.
Massive air battles give Luftwaffe nominal, marginal victory but carnage on the ground as in following land attacks, AGN loses a handful more divisions.

West Front
New commander relieved. STAVKA resumes.

Hoth breaks his nose on Russian tank raid. Four divisions destroyed or routed, Hoth's HQ badly savaged.

South Front
3rd Rumanian Army frontline broken and artillery hit hard.
Elements of 4th Rumanian Army surrounded west of Kerch.
Army artillery hit and imobilised.

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/17/2009 11:53:56 PM)

Uh!

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/19/2009 1:07:01 AM)

OK... there will be a delay as the Corporal has decided to shuffle his Generals around.

The new staff needs time to come up to speed with the overall Eastern Front situation.

Please stand by.........

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/19/2009 4:06:37 PM)

@Mehring: What exactly do you mean by "Uh!"? [:D]

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/19/2009 4:48:15 PM)

Oh! Someone hangs on my every word! How flattering!

I meant to edit a post but replied to it then tried to delete the post but I couldn't, so, and I felt so stupid, and, and, I wrote "Uh!"

ok?

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/19/2009 5:08:38 PM)

Ah!

(German expression for: "Ok, I understand, very interesting!")

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (4/30/2009 1:50:52 AM)

Orders accepted and completed.

Weekly report sent to new OKH.

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/1/2009 12:21:52 PM)

We must have a spy in OKW who has taken the report from Commander Barthheart. OKW leader has received nothing yet.

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/1/2009 2:00:42 PM)

Second.... and third [:@] try sent.....

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/1/2009 2:01:45 PM)

duplicate post.....[:@]

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/1/2009 5:03:53 PM)

The spy was found and shot. OKW got all relevant papers now.

Turn send to Stavka.

british exil -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/6/2009 7:02:31 PM)

Has anybody heard anything from STAVKA?[&:]

The file has been gone a week and we haven't received any orders or commands.

AND before the German commanders start cracking jokes [:-], STAVKA has not fled due to the German Armies approaching Moskow.

Normally Mehring would say something about his being away for a while.
And I am the last person who can complain about a game stalling.[8|]

Jay Doubleyou -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/6/2009 8:14:03 PM)

Don't know either.
I am playing a 1 vs 1 GPW game with him and he is not replying there either.
But in that game I would understand he has fled the battlefield [:D]

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/6/2009 10:33:05 PM)

Gor blimey, don't time fly when your 'avin' fun? Sorry Exil, file will be with you shortly.

Jay, hope you don't mind, your fleet's at the bottom of the Baltic [:D]

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/14/2009 2:58:16 PM)

Where's the game at?

RufusTFirefly -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/14/2009 6:21:44 PM)

Still the bad guys (Stavka and comrads) have it.

british exil -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/14/2009 6:59:00 PM)

STAVKA is a little busy at the moment.

Plans have been sent for approval, just waiting for the green light to proceed.

Sorry for the delay.

Mehring -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/14/2009 7:00:48 PM)

y, sorry for the delay I'm a bit stretched at the moment.

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/14/2009 7:29:17 PM)

That's OK... but who's got you on the rack?!?[:D]

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario changes and house rules (5/28/2009 1:02:02 AM)

Ummmmm... OK it's been a month since the last time I saw the turn.....
I'm away next weekend and then again for two weeks after that.
So you had better find a new AGS commander 'cause I'm out.

Fun game while it lasted.
