sauro brusch -> the release date (8/25/2008 1:41:10 PM)

Is possible to konw when the game is ready?

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/25/2008 1:48:27 PM)

There's not going to be a game. We've been playing the world's longest-running practical joke on the rest of you.

joey -> RE: the release date (8/25/2008 2:17:58 PM)

I knew it. I knew it. I thought that was what you were doing! I bet BOB and BTR is doing the same.

tocaff -> RE: the release date (8/25/2008 5:01:10 PM)

Since I won't have to spend any money on this phantom product I can invest in something really good, like........

Grotius -> RE: the release date (8/25/2008 11:27:00 PM)

Sauro, there's talk of release by the end of the year, but Matrix hasn't set a release date, so it could be longer. I'm still holding out hope we'll see it by December 7...

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/25/2008 11:50:16 PM)

I'm telling you, it's all a gag...

Rossj -> RE: the release date (8/26/2008 1:03:43 AM)

Someone said it will be out about a month after it goes gold
Whether that is true or not, what does going gold mean?

"Going Gold" essentially means that the game has reached its final pre-release revision and is sent to the manufacturer to be put on disc and shipped to the distributors.

undercovergeek -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 10:08:55 AM)

a few months ago (blimey, it seems like a few months ago!)andymac confirmed that even if it went gold today there would be a 3 month wait - and said he still hoped to get AE out in 2008 - that would hopefully mean you had a good idea of where you were in September, and as its nearly September, im just asking if you have any info...... on the assumption that terminus isnt right obviously!!!

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 12:30:50 PM)

There's no AE, but if there was, the time from Gold to release isn't necessarily three months. The exact prediction was 30-90 days.

undercovergeek -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 12:38:35 PM)

i know theres no official AE - i just mean the pretend one we're all waiting for.

Are you still a beta tester by the way?

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 12:47:07 PM)

Hypothetically, I'm a scenario designer for this non-existent product. Never been a beta tester.

PaulWRoberts -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 2:44:54 PM)

Is the wait after Going Gold still the same for the digital download version?

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 3:05:15 PM)

That IS the wait for the DD version.

(IF there were one.)[sm=00000734.gif]

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 4:49:33 PM)

Which there isn't.

undercovergeek -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 5:39:42 PM)

so..............

1. it doesnt exist - check
2. noones working on it - check
3. this isnt a 'whens it out question' - check

..... as september approaches are things still looking 2008-y?

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 7:54:00 PM)

Well, if there was a game (which there's not), the development team (which doesn't exist, and of which I'm certainly not a member) would definitely try their hardest to finish the job before the end of the year. But that's all strictly academic, of course.

IF it were to exist, in any but the most feverish mind.

[:D] That was good, also what I'd expect now that you alleged lot are delving into ai high strangeness. Keep up the good work!(If there is such a project of course)

Its a hotly contested race:

We have "Jutland" and "AE"in a dead heat!(If there really is a race)With Bombing the Reich in front by an aileron and getting ready for a powerdive to the finish!

Hmmn, think I'll lay a bet down on Hard Sarge and H[;)]arley.

Terminus -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 10:08:45 PM)

If AE existed (which it doesn't), and I was working on it (which I'm not), I would hope we'd finish before Eagle Day to Bombing The Reich, because then I'd have free time to get into it.

vils -> RE: the release date (8/31/2008 11:01:44 PM)

dang.. was going to order it.. from the advert on main page one could think it's been out a while..

Digging deep in closet trying to find the old uncommon valor game in the meantime then.. *with a slightly sigh on it*

[:D] Why? Something which doesn't exist will check your HD for WITP (at least version 1.0) in order to run? [:D] This thread is funny.[:)][sm=00000280.gif]
You guys rock. .. or whatever figment of my imagination you all are ...pretends to rock[sm=Cool-049.gif].

witpqs -> RE: the release date (9/1/2008 5:38:04 AM)

Actually, we are not pretending at all. We are all just in your mind. We are not really here. If indeed you are really here...

so the big fat guy in the red, usually starts hanging around 24 December, who also doesnt exist, may, actually still be able to bring a non existent copy??

out of interest, the delays that were caused by AI digging - is this all there is left to go - everything else just hanging around waiting for a working AI to be bolted on the side??

Terminus -> RE: the release date (9/1/2008 10:55:06 AM)

Well, hypothetically, that would certainly be a big ticket item. But there would be other stuff as well.

undercovergeek -> RE: the release date (9/1/2008 10:58:55 AM)

is your scenario/s all built, tested and done then? and are you allowed to tell us which you have done?
