Humm

If Forums moved is there a particular new host address?

Possiable that some firewalls, set to allow that old site certain things now has the new one blocked.

For example, visiting a new site I auto block all scripts,
and all cookies, session, persistent,3rd Party.

If new host requires a cookie of own and its being Blocked...

I notice when log into the forum its loading a s7 Addthis.com before www.matrixgames.com

addthis.com auto gets all scripts, cookies blocked.

Hard Sarge -> RE: Problem (8/29/2008 11:27:17 AM)

for what it is worth, it seems better, but still is happening some, but getting the error screen now instead of the logged off and becoming a guest

which with the error screen you can back up and your still logged in

Hard Sarge -> RE: Problem (8/29/2008 11:28:09 AM)

or as just happened get the sever not found message !

this one is odd because you can just click try again and it finds it ?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Problem (8/29/2008 3:03:36 PM)

We think we found the problem, but we need a fix from the forum developer, so it may be a few more days before this is resolved.

BoredStiff -> RE: Problem (8/29/2008 8:28:47 PM)

This happened to me the other day now too, for the first time. It wasn't a long post either, took no more than 2-3 minutes to compose, just a short paragraph.

Additionally, I've been having the problem of my browser's Back button occassionally not working. I'm using IE 7.xxx, under XP SP3. I can make it work if I click on it in rapid succession. This only happens occassionally, but it happened just now, which is why I'm posting this message.

The Back button problem I've experiences at other sites, albeit very rarely, but not the time-outs.

I've stopped surfing pR0n sites some time ago, so that's not the problem.

Alex Fiedler -> RE: Problem (8/31/2008 5:29:20 AM)

The problem has been fixed! I managed to get an updated DLL which solved the primary issue with logouts.

I'm not sure whats going on with the page-not-found type errors, as that is a separate thing not related to the dropped sessions problem. Perhaps we need a new thread for that if those types of errors continue.

So the session dropouts should now be fixed.

Thanks, Alex!  [8D]

Gil R. -> RE: Problem (9/3/2008 2:06:01 AM)

Alex, I'm not sure it's fixed. Yesterday things seemed to be better, but I was still booted off a few times. And tonight I got booted off again, and when I came to this thread to post this message I got booted off seven straight times before I could post it (taking more than five minutes!). Sorry to have to report this...

(And I just got booted off again when I tried to edit this.)

madgamer2 -> RE: Problem (9/10/2008 2:43:23 AM)

madgamer2 -> RE: Problem (9/11/2008 12:36:43 AM)

for what it is worth it seems to happen to me on long replies or long posts.

Gil R. -> RE: Problem (9/11/2008 4:50:34 PM)

It happens to me mostly when I'm logging on. I sometimes have to log on ten times before it finally takes. And it happens at all times of day, so it's not tied in to how many people are already on the forum.

(Disclaimer: I haven't updated Firefox to 3.0 yet, but as I recall this problem was happening to all types of browsers.)
