IanLister -> Shipping to Europe (5/15/2002 10:41:56 PM)

I preordered from Duchet Computers, Matrix's European Dealer, six weeks ago. When I rang them at 1200 today I was told the shipment was on the way and they had been quoted 2-4 days. They are expecting to receive by Friday and send out straight away. Good news!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Grouchy -> (5/15/2002 11:24:40 PM)

Ty for the info!

I ordered from Duchet also, so I hope to get it somewhere next week!

Paul Vebber -> (5/16/2002 12:09:42 AM)

I am told that all the "air" deleivery (overnight or foreign air) orders are on their way and we should have all the ground orders on their way by the end of the week.

Over half the products shipped are going over seas and becasue of the foresightedness of our shipping contractor, a customs offical went to the warhouse to pre-approve the (hundreds) of overseas orders.

All the distributor orders have gone out, C&B should have theirs by next week,though overseas distributors may take a bit longer.
The extra shipping step means distributers customers don't get theirs as fast as those who pre-order. We don't make as much either, but we understand the cost and convenience issue - a trade off of sorts we think is overall a win for all, even if you may have to wait an extra week or two....

We have also had our "classification" changed for customs purposes to hpefully reduce the chances that overseas customers get "surprise" duties and taxes. We obviously can't control teh rulings of individual foreign customs officials, but we are working closely withe the overseas shipping experts and US customs to ensure rapid and "surpriseless" shipping to the incredible number of overseas customers!! (especially Finland...why are there so many wargamers in Finland :D)

Thanks again for making us "the global grognard's friend" :)

U2 -> Europe rules! (5/16/2002 12:24:32 AM)

Hi!

Over 50% of the items is shipped outside the US!? Wow! I always thought it was something like 10% or less. Europe rules! Sorry that this does not show in the forums. But hey americans and canadians are much funnier anyway.

Finland!? Crap! I always thought Sweden was ahead in wargaming. Darn scandinavian neighbour.

Good luck Matrix and may you sell thousands of UV copies

Dan:)

Hartmann -> (5/16/2002 12:47:11 AM)

When we sent packages with gifts to our relatives in Germany this year, they were in for a nasty surprise later when the customs office presented a bill. Since recently, even gifts, if they exceed Euro 45 worth, cost 17 Euro extra custom. I sometimes hate my home country.

Hi!

In Sweden everything over 30 US is taxed! Let me give you an expample of the fantastic:rolleyes: socialdemocracy that we call Sweden.

I ordered The Japanese Colonial Empire 1895-1945 for 32 bucks or something + 8 bucks shipping ( 40 ). Thats over 30 so I had to pay 25 swedish krona in tax which is not bad really for its about 2,5 bucks. But then I had to pay stupid handling fees to the customs and post office. So to pay for 25 krona I had to pay 125 krona ( 12,5 bucks ) and that includes the 2,5 bucks tax. So to pay 2,5 dollars I had to pay 10 dollars!! God bless socialism:rolleyes:

Dan:)

Erik Rutins -> Order Updates (5/16/2002 1:40:48 AM)

Keep in mind that the order status is updated in batches. Your order may have already been shipped, but the status will likely not display that until tonight.

Wasp -> Question (5/16/2002 2:14:27 AM)

Well, I preordered my copy the 1st of May. I reside here in the states, and for shipping I took the ( USPS Priority): $7.00 option.

Question, when can I expect to get my copy.
Another question: my tracking orders page still shows the Order status: New. I'm really confused. I do live fairly close compared to all the people overseas so, shouldn't I get my order much faster? I guess I'm just anxious to get my copy.:D

No problem. Any comments from a country dumb enough to disarm itself get discounted automatically.

rawink -> (5/16/2002 7:46:15 AM)

oh well..

it's nearly 9PM.. no update, still listed as "NEW" and I paid all that money for nothing. $74.00 for overnight service.. to watch everyone else get theirs first.

now it will be tomorrow before it ships.. if even then.

so it will be Friday earliest? I could have saved $30 if I had known.. could I have done anything different to have avoided this?

my account shows I have already paid the money, and the account shows Matirx has taken the moneyso I know thats not the issue.. just getting very frustrated and dissapointed.

no offense towards the matrix guys, I know they are trying their best, but it still sorta angers me to have wasted that money.

Erik Rutins -> Options... (5/16/2002 7:52:36 AM)

Robert,

Send an e-mail to davidh@matrixgames.com with your MTX order number and order info (date, payment method, etc.). Dave can check on your order specifically if you are concerned that it should already have shipped.

Best Regards,

- Erik

David Heath -> (5/16/2002 8:05:31 AM)

Guys

The warehouse is in CA so 9:00pm here is only 6:00pm there. Once they are done all the updates on their systems they upload an update to us. As I said we can not promise all the orders will ship on the first few days. I just got off the phone with the warehouse almost all the orders shipped today so I expect to see a lot of updated shipping records tonight.

Anyone can check their own shipment as long as you know your MTX# and zip code if you do not then the link below will not work.

So does what does this mean? I do understand that the game may not ship for a while, but can you give me an estimate of when I could get the game? Could I get it this week?:) (I preordered May 1) That would be so great, I live in Ohio, so I should be able to get the game in a day or two once mine ships out, right? I read some of other posts where they say the game could get to you by Friday, but I'm not so sure what to expect!!!!!!!!! (By the way I chose the cheapest shipping option) and I just checked the orders status page, and it says new. Ahhhhhh! I'm going crazy................ Need.....U V....... fa....s...t...:D

Check tomorrow morning. All the people who got theirs today didn't think they were shipped last night. Go to sleep, now. Calm down. It will be all right. My order says New, too. I ordered on May 1, also. Everything will be OK. Nothing to worry about. No reason to be all upset over something that probably has already shipped.....

:confused: My order says New???? ......What am I saying???? :mad: WHERE'S MY COPY!!! I want it now!!!

Should have ordered May 1. With the next day air, you'd have had it today. I'd be suirprised if it didn't go out today.

Ardle -> (5/16/2002 3:34:22 PM)

Well, I'm very satisfied. Ordered it yesterday morning and it's already shipped - even got an email from UPS here in Japan telling me that it's on its way - great service!

And appropriately enough for this game I live just down the road from Kure, the port where many of the mighty IJN ships were built...

Can't wait to get into it...

rawink -> (5/16/2002 3:39:11 PM)

you order it yesterday and it's already shipping.. amazing..

maybe I pissed on somebodies dog or something? lol

But of course those that had pre-ordered it on May 1st like I did, and have already paid for it on May 10th, and am still waiting for the email telling me that it has shipped (or at least Order Status & Tracking Service) telling me it has shipped...

Obviously first-in, first-out need not apply...

OK, don't make it sound like I'm jumping the queue or something :(

Obviously those who pre-ordered it should get it shipped out first - but then again I did have to pay $25 for shipping, so I would expect service as fast as this.

Well, David did say that they were going to fill all the pre-orders first. But since my May 1 pre-order still says "New", I guess this is not a happening thing...
