I wish they would release a sequel to Victoria. One of the best historical games I have played. But is seems like one of the Paradoxs least popular games.

i think they are - theres always talk about it on Wargamer

Did you get Victoria Revolutions? OF course that is more of an expansion than a sequel.

Making History solves all those issues with the HOI series and is much better imo since it is turn based. I haven't enjoyed an operational strategic wargame as much that covers the entire WW2 as Making History.

Real-time isn't an issue, it's a design choice. Making History also isn't an operational wargame, it's a strategy game plain and simple - the modeling of military affairs is too simple to call it a wargame (HoI2 barely makes it, though).

I seriously tried to like that game, but in the end it always felt like some kind of a cheap ripoff of HoI2 without the historical atmosphere and with some kind of an incomprehensible and unmanageable economic system that put me to sleep every time I tried to figure it out. Given the spartan nature of warfare and lack of direction with diplomacy/grand strategy, I can't really see it as a good game - though it would've had potential in MP if they didn't have the ridiculous economy.

Sure it's mostly a lot of hypothetical, but, so is HOI and so is GGWAW and any others. They are all hypothetical in the end depending on which nation the human player plays and determines the hypothetical winner 99.9% of the time since the ai in all of these games are pretty simple and too easy.

Ok, there's a BIG difference between "hypothetical" and "the official 1939 scenario starts with a German declaration of war on Hungary" - which is exactly what happens in Making History, if the demo represents the actual game in any way whatsoever.
