Well, here we are again-4 days with no turn. Why would anyone insist on holding up the game like this? If you do not want to finish the game-no big deal (and no hard feelings). There are many good reasons for someone to pull out of a game. However, I can think of no acceptable reason for a player to insist on breaking a game by holding up 7 other players. If you do not want to finish the game- then simply say so. I'm sure a replacement can be found.

Ottoman hordes crossed Austrian borders and are advancing to the civilized Europe (civilized except France, which joined to aggression ...)

Calling for help from other nations ... Austria is not so big for too many prisoners !!! [8D]

terje439 -> RE: PBEM 109 (8/20/2010 4:30:48 PM)

France as always stands by her allies. We are only as good as our word after all.

Dear Emperor Matto

Just why should any European power be interested in supporting Austrian tyranny? You have enslaved Poles, Germans, Italians-not to mention peace loving Turks in several provinces. The time is long past that Austria should be humbled...

But no hard feelings-[;)]

Matto -> RE: PBEM 109 (8/22/2010 8:09:26 PM)

Hmm,
if I remember well, was it Ottoman diplomat, who on last peace conference after our long war, promised do not attack again? But sure, I did not count Austrian tyranny, which must be strafed ! [8D]

Well now, there was the statement that I would withdraw all Ottoman diplomats for the term of our agreement. I met those terms-and stuck to those even though our agreement ended 21 months ago. It is not possible that the O.E. would have accepted a permanent peace for one little rocky province. However, after this war we may be able to come to a permanent settlement.[;)]

06 Maestro -> RE: PBEM 109 (8/24/2010 7:18:32 AM)

Going on 5 days again. I say it again; if you don't want to play the game anymore then say so. There are multiple players who would be very interested in getting into this game.

As half the players are far too busy to even post in the forum anymore, we can only wonder what the hell is going on. Perhaps someone is dying? Or is it something else? I have trouble understanding why someone would habitually send in their turn 2,3,or 4 days late. Do they forget?? Perhaps someone is getting some kind of kick out of irritating people they don't even know by holding up a game we have put a year into.

So, Bill, just who is holding the game up? It is time to get this straightened out.

IronWarrior -> RE: PBEM 109 (8/24/2010 11:02:28 PM)

I have started sending emails to any missing turns after 48 hours, excluding weekends. I spend time with the family and like to take a break from hunting down missing files. Monday is when I usually get that sorted out. That's not to say I wont merge the turn if I have all the files in sometime over the weekends, but I figure weekends are for relaxing. :D

Maybe the game would go faster if someone else collected the files and sent them to me?

If you think it would help to get them all at the same time, I would volunteer for that assignment. If you want to try that system, put that info out with the next turn.

We need to do something-with 115 turns to go some of us might be dead from old age before this game is done.

06 Maestro -> RE: PBEM 109 (8/25/2010 4:55:52 AM)

And...Turkey's turn 158 sent in.
