While this one is not as detailed as I prefer (due to the sheer lack of available resources), it came out pretty well I think, the Vickers Windsor bomber:

Nice work on the Hampden, one of my favorite looking planes, and no there is no logic involved in that one [;)]

If possible a US Army Curtiss O-52 Owl in either silver w/ the red/white rudder or the all green paint schemes. I've tried a couple of times to do it from some art myself but I just don't have the art skills nor the programs to do it. I really like the Spiteful & Seafang art & may see about adding them in myself [&o]

JC,
I'll see what I can come up with in the way of a decent line drawing for the Owl.

JC,
Those line drawings are awesome! The only one I was able to locate, was in Curtiss Aircraft 1907-1947 and it was only serviceable at best. I am almost done with the sides and should have the tops done tonight or tomorrow.

P.S. Here's a sneak preview:

As far as your artwork goes, have you purchased the War Plan Orange add-on for WitP? I can't say for sure without looking, but many of the ships and planes you seek may be in that add-on mod. It is available from Matrix here:

War Plan Orange

jtri70zq -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/27/2010 4:48:49 AM)

Hi,

yes I have war plan orange. and took some planes and ships from there, but these are regretfully not in it.

MadmanRick -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/27/2010 3:16:14 PM)

I will do my best to assist you with the art you seek. Two caveats go along with my assistance however, first I already have a long list of art ahead of yours, so it may be a month or more until I can get to it. Secondly, I cannot fashion my own line drawings, so any art I complete is dependent upon finding decent, usable line drawings from some other source (internet, my vast collection of books, etc.). If this is acceptable, I'll add your artwork to the queue.

Hello Rick,

that would be fantastic.
Is there a way I can send you materials I have allready found (although it's not much and probably from the same sources you will get it)

Thanks in advance
Jacco

MadmanRick -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/28/2010 12:19:50 AM)

Jacco,
Sure, save any line drawings you may have as .bmp files and put them in a .zip file. You can email them to me at:

madmanrickATaolDOTcom (just replace the at with @ and the DOT with . and you'll be good to go)

Just put something descriptive, such as WitPAE line drawings, as the message title so I don't accidentally delete them.

Alternatively, you can upload them here in a .zip, your choice.

Rick

I'm currently in the USA, I will be back home in Europe in about a week and look the pics up in my computer at home and send them to you.

I'd be interested in seeing a Northrup N-3PB. Most of the rest of my wishlist has already been addressed.

ggm -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/29/2010 3:17:32 AM)

madman,

any chance of creating a a universal graphics file with all your work on it so that modders can use a common file with your and ryans graphics.

big fan of your work.

ps does anybody know what the definative book on ww2 aircraft is ? Janes perhaps?

ggm

MadmanRick -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/29/2010 1:09:59 PM)

ggm,
As of this moment, I really don't have time to create a universal graphics file. However, that may be something that's doable when I complete the majority of the artwork. The other factor complicating a universal graphics file is that much of the requested artwork is for prototype and esoteric aircraft, which may affect play balance one way or another.

As far as a definitive book on WW2 aircraft goes, it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want stats, Jane's is a great reference (albeit expensive). For camo schemes and line drawings, books like Squadron's In Action series and the Warpaint series are indispensable. I have close to 1000 titles in my personal library, so I can cover just about any subject in one form or another. I am only missing the really esoteric and one-off type aircraft. Just about anything else (excepting the most modern a/c), I have in a book or three.

Terminus -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/29/2010 4:48:43 PM)

Osprey books are a good source of line drawings, albeit not of very esoteric types.

traskott -> RE: Shep's Graphical Artwork (Planes, Ships, etc) (6/29/2010 6:23:07 PM)

xDDD Lot of planes, but none of the Luftwaffeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( sorry, I had to say it [:'(] )
