Sorry, finished loading now and got a bunch more, please look into my previous message.

Problem with sending turns is that I don't see any sign from what turn these error messages come.

When you load a turn and you see these messages, I need that turn you just loaded and the one before that.

BigDuke66 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/19/2012 6:18:59 PM)

"Multi-turn read" [;)]

I will load them now turn by turn, but for a future version it would be helpful to see the turn from which the error message came.

Lifer -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/19/2012 9:39:17 PM)

Couple of things...
Tracker 1.9 quit working on me a couple of days ago. It would put a message up the tracker db loaded in 600+ seconds for a minute or so then the JavaVM would close. No other message or screen. I saw today that 1.9.1 was available so I downloaded that one and the same thing happened. I thought at this point that my Java install had somehow become corrupted so I redid Java using the 32 bit download. With both of my 1.9 and 1.9.1 installs I had to add the path to my Java install to the bat file for tracker. Now I see the last turn loaded and can go through all the screens but when I try to read the next turn I get a windows error saying that Java quit and do I want to close the program. Looks like either a corrupted db or a bad install of Java. Can you help?

BigDuke66 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/19/2012 10:04:15 PM)

I just send the error messages to you, should be 2 mails, one with "01-04.rar" and one with "05.rar".
Could you confirm you got them?

These can be ignored. It happens when you move the WitPTracker windows around while loading a turn.

Does tracker only follow onne saved game slot or can it be made to follow them all? I don't save in just one game slot, I use them all saving one turn after another consecutively until I have used every slot and then starting over again at the beginning. If it can only be made to look ta one slot then it's really not useful to me.

Use the multi-turn read option and you can load from any turn slot.(even individual turns)

even when the setup directs me to make it look at a particular save in a single slot?

and if so, then what save slot do I direct it to look at in the "properties"?

No need to change the properties unless this is your first turn load. You could change the file number in the properties file - if you want to pick up the next save using single file load(restart Tracker needed).

With the multi-load you just go to the save folder and tick all.pws and click select "Select directory"

Once every X number of game months I start a new Tracker database as it just gets too long to load up. No big deal to me. I'm wondering: can I load all the old SigInt files? I mean not all the old turns, just the SigInt files. I just want to make sure that won't mess up anything.

Sorry, the program only lets you load sigint for turns that are loaded...

In theory it should have, but we must have used some deprecated method or something... I don't know. [:(]

BigDuke66 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/21/2012 10:28:46 PM)

Well any chance to fix it? Sooner or later one doesn't get around upgrading Java to keep browsers and other programs working.

Some more questions:
On the air production screen:
-What does column TBO.YTA show?
-What does column upg(total) show?
-What does column Rec.Bld show?

On the air groups & pilots screen:
-What does the pilot number show? Usually they differ slightly from what I can find in game.

I know you can have both 32 and 64 bit running, I'll have to test if you can have both 6 and 7 JRE's running too. Pointing to the right Jar is the key.

BigDuke66 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/22/2012 3:45:00 AM)

Thanks but that doesn't really explain what the values represent.

These are the things I think they represent:
TBO.YTA
1. value is for planes missing in reinforcement groups
2. value is for the max amount of planes in those reinforcement groups

upg(total)
1. is for planes needed to upgrade all active groups that are set to upgrade to this type
Still now clue what total value shows

Rec.Bld
Still no clue, frame stats shows some more numbers but then again no clue where those come from and what the represent.
Also why is the to build number subtract by reinforcements needed? That I subtract the pool, is logical but why do I subtract a number that shows planes I have to build from a number I have to build.
Bottom line is if you don't get what all numbers mean you also don't get what the calculation is about.

Pilot numbers
Well what does it mean when I have 27(85) and tooltip shows Activ:25 Listed:85?
27 are what?
85 are "listed" where?

Let's look at the save you sent me ...
Mouse over gives more information.
Active Pilots = 25
Delayed(1 day) = 2
Delayed(>1day)=60

I guess we could argue that the figure 27(85) is a little misleading... cause there are 2 at delay1.
27 = 25 (pilots) + 2 (delay=1)
(85) = 25 (pilots) + 60 (delay > 1)

BigDuke66 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/22/2012 8:49:59 PM)

Thanks for clarifying that.

If you look at the code for upg(total) you may also want to look at the code for TBO.YTA because I guess it's not on purpose that the values leave out all groups that are on ships.

Here my detailed feedback for version 1.9.1
-Stop tooltip from disappearing(maybe by clicking on cell?).
-Mark columns that have tooltip so user knows he has to "wait" for additional info(maybe underline title).

"Alert" screen
-Add coordinates to destination on alert type "LCU arrived".

"Base" screen
-Sort regions, logically or alphabetically.
-Sorting for different values of columns that have more than one value, like port, airfield, troop capacity, etc. so that you can sort by one or the other value.

"Device" screen
-Remove items that are not used, for example mines with a low ID number that aren't used in game.

"Industry" screen
-Movable columns on the "Regional Ind/Repair" sheet should be checked for item they represent before giving out the sub-info so that the "OilRef" column gives out Oil Refinery and not resources because the OilRef column was replaced where to Resources column was.
-Sheet "CS Cargo Planning" should have the bases sorted logically or alphabetically.

"Resources" screen
-What's the Resources screen there for? All that it shows is also on the industry screen or do I miss something?
-Sort the regions, logically or alphabetically

"LCU" screen
-Sorting and filter options on the Formations sheet.
-What does the ID color on the LCU production screen stand for? Add tooltip.

"Aircraft Production" screen
-Change name of TBO.YTA column, name doesn't really give a clue what the values stand for, also a tooltip with more detail would be good.
-Change name of upg(total) name doesn't really give a clue what the values stand for, also a tooltip with more detail would be good.
-Add tooltip to Grp planes column to make clear this is the number of ALL planes(ready, repairing & reserve) in active groups.
-Change "Next" to "Arrival of next group"(or a short form of it) so players know what column is for or add that as tooltip.
-Rework Frame Stats, extend text elements so player knows better what is meant in each line.

"Aircraft comparison" screen
-Make it keep the set aircraft, when changing to other screen.
-Add the same filters that are on the aircraft screen.
-Expand screen by at least on more plane to compare, overall 5 would be better.

"Air Groups & Pilots screen
-On airgroup sheet the nation filter should filter available models & types so those lists get shorter.
-The special filter "Upgrade to" should be named "Upgrade from", at least I get all groups that are using the set plane and upgrade to a different plane when using this filter.

"Ships" screen:
-Split Withdrawal filter to show ships that have to be withdrawn and those that are already withdrawn.

"Ship classes" screen
-Add filter to suppress unavailable classes.
-Add filter to show a specific class and all there upgrades so future upgrades can be compared.

"Ship Upgrades" screen
-Add filter for ship classes on upgrades sheet.
-Add "convert to class" so a general class can be set(like DE) instead of a specific class(like Clemson DE LR).
-Add filter to show all classes of a specific upgrade path, for example all Colorado BB (ID 335-339-340-343-344).

"Ship repairs" screen
-Expand region filter so that all regions can be filtered.

"Victory Points" screen
-Add a general note why those values differ from the values in the intelligence report. I guess FoW somehow plays in, but how?

RogerJNeilson -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available! (5/23/2012 7:49:34 AM)

Guys, I have always been amazed by the work and attention you put into this for us all. So take my next comment in the right spirit please...

The ship tracker just introduced....

1. Not sure how useful it is as it shows your own ships, singly. I hope I can recall where my own ships are and pretty closely where they have been - inso far as that matters.
2. Its massively clunky as when I select a ship I then have to scroll around the map to find it..... which assumes I know where it is in the first place
3. What someone in my HQ would be doing in real life is tracking the sightings and engagements with an enemy ship and using that to show the area it is operating in and possibly predict where its going and what its up to..... this info is in the combat reports so its available, but a bit of a pain to find as the sole commanders of every rust bucket and bean shipment in the theatre....

I may be missing something as to the usefulness of seeing my own ships manoeuvres..... I am sure if I am I will be educated pretty fast by others on the forum.

Is there any chance we can have the ability to look for known sightings of an enemy ship? The info exists.... its not affecting game security - its just reducing the number of brain cells I need to deploy.

It means that the previous save and the new save have a different number of bases. That's not supposed to happen.

Something was corrupted either in the database or the save file. Assuming the pwsdll.dll file didn't change and there was no database update between turns and you chose a save from the same scenario, I'm not sure what it could be... [&:]
