Knavey -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available! (8/12/2012 7:17:17 AM)

Dan,

When I search for that string...I show 3 tracker files with it inside. When I open with notepad, none of them have it available to change.

Which file should I be changing it in?

Thanks,

Dave

WitPTracker.bat

Change this line:
java -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"

to this:
java -Xms512m -Xmx640m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"

Worked great! Loads faster too!

Thanks,

Tracker and Wide Screen.
How i can change WITPAE tracker window size forever? My comp have 1366x768 resolution under Win7 and tracker window need to be manually resized (expland window dont work good - eat taskbar so tracker like fullscreen app close access to other tasks via taskbar)?

Dan Nichols -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available! (8/17/2012 1:51:17 AM)

I would like to report that I had an air unit do a scheduled rename and the history in Tracker is gone.

All the history ? Or just that unit I'd guess ? Did the group ID change - cause that is how we usually marry the histories IIRC ?

Oopsies. Please send me a save from before the name change and one after the name change, the witptracker.properties file and the group number. Send to witptracker@gmail.com

Only now tested the newest version of tracker (reinstalled, last version was 1.8something), highly appreciate the SigInt import option for 2 day turns! Thanks, great work as always! [:)]

What is the red ID for in LCU production?

Also why has the Japan Road Const Co got a provision for Av sup but the amout is shown 0**?

Can you tell me how to search a thread using google.  I.e. This one.  I know how to do it for the whole of the AE forum but can't figure out for a thread.

Floyd,

I am still struggling to get tracker to work on my 64 bit windows machine. I have abandoned my attempt to do on my desktop and am trying on the laptop. What is your experience for the best fix to this problem?

Did you change the witptracker.bat to explicitly invoke the 32-bit Java? For example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"

Just showing bases that have less than 10k supply iirc (a left over from witp days)

Have to see a screenshot of this...although we calculate the field (so we are not 100% accurate with the AV values shown in game.)

Better to ask Q's ... http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2672439

This is how I got that page ...
searching using google site:http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2236936

Doesn't seem to work with individual threads though...

Yes - also I've been using Teamviewer to help see others desktops remotely and help if really required and you trust me [;)]

floydg -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (8/26/2012 3:05:44 AM)

I'm in the process of fixing the AV values shown so they match the game.

Dan Nichols -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (8/26/2012 3:42:46 AM)

I have noticed a small discrepancy % of base building versus trackers. Mostly 1 percent.

Thanks Damian!!

You were amazing and fixed all my problems with Tracker......have been using it with no problems. It was great guys I just left my machine on remote and work up in the morning with a text file note and PRESTO! the tracker wizard had fixed everything. Better than X-mas!

Thanks again.

Hello,

I´m still quite new in playing WITPAE and using the tracker, but my problem is: It takes forever for me for the tracker to load the data on startup. 10 minutes and more are nothing (Intel E6850, 8GB). Is this "by design" or can I do something to speed the loading time up?.

Well... yes, it's by design. But the design has proven to be flawed. So I'm trying to come up with another method for faster loading. I have an idea, just need the time to rip out huge chunks of code to change it.

To speed the loading time, do what others (and I do) and never quit it.

Hmmm, not a good idea when living in a country where 1 hour of 1KW electricity costs around 23-25 Eurocent [:D] . But at least I can start loading when I get home, have dinner in between, and start playing afterwards. BTW, the tracker has just loaded the tables in 2638 seconds ... [;)]

Thanks for your work on it - it´s very much appreciated. The tracker is a very valuable tool for playing this monster of a game :) .

CaptDave -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (8/29/2012 11:17:00 PM)

Martin, how far are you into your game? Many times a slow load of Tracker is due to a large database. If this is your situation, you might consider archiving the existing database files and reinitializing them. (There are, of course, other causes, so this may or may not help you.)

Yeah, if you always shut down your PC, then you're right -- I almost never shut down; I typically "hibernate", which leaves all programs still running. Every few weeks I do a reboot when things get slow.

Dan Nichols -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (8/30/2012 12:50:53 AM)

I have found that I have the best load times if I load Tracker before WitP:AE. I also can load more turns that way without out of memory errors. I do use the nomap option also. I have 3 PBEM games going and I can't really let them all stay running.

This may very well be the case. I´m in late 1943 now, so the DB must be huge. Will check that and see if it helps.

Historiker -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (8/30/2012 7:48:46 PM)

database error... "exiting" [;)]

Last turn's tracker results were surprisingly short.

Not sure. Try moving the trackerdb.backup file to some other folder and see if the program starts up.
